well, while i kinda feel like a dick for leaving this review since i didnt actually even get inside this place, i have to admit that they deserve it. the reason is this - it was thanksgiving morning, and after searching for a place to eat i came across this spot, which was listed as open. now, im no dummy, and know sometimes restaurants dont update their hours on google (still strike 1), so i called. this proved to be a circle jerk of automated menus and i couldnt get through to a person (strike 2). i then went to their website, which made no mention of them being closed for the holiday, and successfully put myself on the waitlist. i headed over, saw all the lights on (inside and out), parked, and walked up to a locked door (which didnt even have a closed for the holiday sign on it). ive been in the restaurant industry for far too many years to think is acceptable in any way. if the owners/mgmt feel this is a good way to do business, i wonder how many other people theyve annoyed and, potential customers they've lost. i wont ever try to eat here again because my time is valuable to me and i wouldnt want to spend it going there to find the door locked again.

There shrimp and grits are absolutely delicious! Very flavorful! The sugar cane butter they make is really delicious as well. The waitress was very nice.

We placed a pickup order through their online system, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. We ordered the French toast bites, which are supposed to come with two sauces—neither sauce was included. We also ordered a Pick Two Bennie, and somehow neither Bennie came with any of their respective sauces (the pork sauce and the hollandaise). To make it worse, the bacon Bennie didn’t even come with the bacon.
We tried calling the restaurant three separate times before driving back, but no one answered the phone. When we arrived, there were only two tables of customers inside and several employees sitting around at tables, so it’s not like they were overwhelmed or too busy to pick up.
When we asked for the missing items, it was obvious they didn’t even have the sauces ready, since we had to wait while they made them. When they finally brought out the ingredients and sauces, there was no explanation and no offer of any concession despite the mistakes and the inconvenience of having to return.
This was our first visit, and it was honestly very disappointing. While the food tasted good once it was actually complete, the lack of attention to detail and the poor service make it hard to justify coming back. We won’t be returning.

Ordered food to be delivered, the buddha bowl was apparently unavailable and instead of reaching out or substituting, they just did nothing. Chicken sandwich was dry and tasteless, fries had no salt and were just okay, way too expensive for fast food level sandwich

Came for a nice breakfast date instead I was given a stomachache . As a first time customer when you go somewhere you look forward to an experience . Me and my S/O started off with drinks to order while we were deciding what to eat .. ended up ordering the peach Bellini and the margarita .. both tasted like they weren’t even mixed .. just pure cheap liquor .. I ask the bartender if he poured a double thinking that’s what makes it so strong he tells me that he poured the liquor to top off the drink .. im like okay whatever fine.. then we order our food .. when I tell you the French toast bites could be used to build outside thats literally how hard they were as if they’d been sitting out all day meanwhile we were the only customers in there @9 am so I’m confused as to why the food isn’t fresh .. then the eggs were brick cold .. just overall a bad experience .. wouldnt recommend if you don’t want to be sitting on the toilet because your stomach hurts that bad ..

Went with some friends for brunch. Parking that area can be tricky but the food is worth it. We ordered the candied bacon bites, shrimp and grits, the mimosa flight, Irish coffee and a vanilla latte. It was all amazing and the atmosphere even though busy was still quiet for conversation and a great time. We will definitely be going back!
I ordered the catfish and grit and it was AMAZING ! The waitress was very attentive and friendly!

Wife and I came in for breakfast. Wife ordered an omelette with a couple substitutions and they could not get it right. After the 4th time they brought the wrong food to our table she decided not to eat anything because we had to go. Will not be back.

I love Ruby at the West Ashley location. We had a great brunch there on sat 10/18. Our server Danielle was awesome. Helpful quick and sweet. What I did NOT appreciate was some guy named Andre kept coming over to our table and trash talking. I don’t know this person. He ruined everything by his constant harassment. He walked by at least 6 times and called us “-itches”. Again I have no idea who he is but I won’t be back as long as he is there.
