I booked a reservation online to this restaurant but when I went up to the hostess stand at the time I selected, I was told they do not honor reservations and I was behind 10 groups still. Being told it would only be about a 25 minute wait, I waited no problem. About 35 minutes after not being seated or checked on, I received a text saying I was removed from the wait list. I asked about this and the hostess could not give me an explanation why. So myself and family walked 3 blocks to Millers All Day and were seated within 10 minutes with no reservation in a much busier atmosphere. Great food and great service there. I would not recommend Ruby Sunshine to any Charleston travelers.

Ordered the GF avocado toast and morning margarita & it was delish! Kasita is a queen and served our table of 9 quickly and with an amazing attitude - unfortunately her attitude doesn’t match the entire team. FYI, “Have fun with that” wasn’t the most welcome greeting.

On december 29th 2024 around 11:15am We ordered a couple of breakfasts and appetizers to be delivered. The food was pricey and when it arrived the scrambled eggs and omelet had the texture and consistency of powdered eggs and a very odd taste and texture not to mention the omlet was missing the goat cheese, the home fries which we had been charged for and only had 3 tiny pieces of spinach. When my wife called back the male manager who answered was very rude and made no effort to rectify the situation! He then proceed to tell her he would refund us a whole $2 dollars!! How generous!
It's now been 3 days and still haven't received our $2 lol
Honestly we couldn't care less about the money it was his terrible attitude and lack of effort that has me writing this review.
No effort or shits given on his behalf!
WE WILL NOT BE BACK AND DONT LET THE REVIRWS FOOL YOU ITS VERY OVERY RATED!!

Walked in to be welcomed with a big smile and sweet greeting by Natalie the hostess. That set the tone. Staff were very helpful. The menu is incredibly diverse. There's even a FLIGHT of mimosas!
Prices were not ridiculous like most of the French Quarter.
Great spot for breakfast. Check their hours before you go.

Kid-friendliness: Big kid menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entrance.

We chose Ruby Sunshine to have our Christmas Breakfast for work. There were 11 of us. Gratuity was added to our checks for such a large group but that worked out well. No doing match to determine a proper tip for the excellent service we received. The food was delicious and hot. The Nola Style iced coffee was so good. The restaurant was bright and beautiful. I loved everything about the experience!

Very average spot. I had the avocado toast and it had good components but the egg was completely cold. Service is pretty bare minimum. For a slow morning we had empty waters and long waits for the check. The place also had an odd smell in the entryway... The bathrooms smelled pretty bad.

But it wasn't a bad experience. Nothing horrible, just wouldn't come back or recommend

We had breakfast here this morning and ordered the Southern Breakfast. The food was delicious. The service by Kasita C was outstanding. She was prompt, courteous, and kept our coffee full while checking on us several times. We would definitely stop here for breakfast next time we are in Charleston.

I got the migas breakfast and it was delicious. Good bang for your buck here. The mimosa was good too. Very cute spot and friendly service, especially from the hostess.

Food was good dinner food. They appeared to be u restarted and were pretty hectic and not very friendly or helpful. Also a bit on the slow side.

This place has a great menu. Unfortunately the food itself didn't measure up. After sitting down, we waited to order. The waiter finally came back and we asked for the seasonal menu. He left, only to go outside and chat with another table for 10 minutes! We didn't when have water at this point. I had to flag down another waitress to take our order. She was wonderful. We ordered the sweet and spicy chicken and French toast, and the shrimp and grits. The French toast was inedible as each piece was completely saturated with fry oil. The shrimp and grits had wonderful flavor but was again, overdone with grease. The entire quarter inch layer of the dish was oil. Really disappointing.

Since I'm at MUSC hospital, I ordered delivery and can't rate the restaraunt's atmosphere. I will rate my food. I ordered the Spanish omelette with a side of bacon and subbed breakfast potatoes instead of grits. The food was still fairly warm when it arrived about 90 minutes after I ordered, which was a pleasant surprise. Bacon was cooked thru and good. Biscuit was good. I guess I expected more from the sugar cane butter, but it just tasted like regular sweet cream butter to me. I did not get the breakfast potatoes as ordered, but grits. However, the grits were pretty tasty and I honestly don't generally like grits. The main reason for the 3 rating is because the omelette was not an omelette. It was eggs with the chorizo, tomato and peppers all scrambled together and a very liquid sauce on top. So, the texture was mushy and kind of off putting. The flavor was good, but that texture ruined it for me. On to go orders, put the sauce in a seperate container and make an omelette not scrambled eggs. Order # 31161072468738048
