Ordered steak and Frits, sent it back. It was not a ny strip as stated, fries were cold. $29 for “frozen air fried” bagged fries. Chicken fingers plate $16 breaded chicken breasts, thick and flavorless. The adjacent table returned their food as well. Would not recommend.

In search of quality shrimp and grits I stumbled upon this place. I saw it being recommended on Reddit for having such. I was almost discouraged from going here because of some of the reviews I read. After eating here I must say, I don’t know what these people were talking about. Food was high quality, service was great, and atmosphere was welcoming. Nothing bad to say from me. Give it a shot!

We used to love coming here. Last night, we found ourselves in the area and were excited to have a family night out. Restaurant was clean and drinks were good but that’s about it. Wait staff seemed annoyed to wait on us and medium well burgers were served with a thick layer of black char and were dry and crunchy. When shown to the server she indicated that it’s been happening a lot and didn’t seem particularly concerned. Sweet potato fries were also served burnt. Nobody at the table enjoyed their meal, but the burgers were especially bad. There are so many good restaurants in Charleston and this used to be one of them. Bummer of an experience last night.

Loved the character of the building! Cool place! Friendly atmosphere and service! We had a super friendly greeting! Our waitress was new but she was absolutely adorable! Great attitude! However the food was not high quality and a bit disappointing unfortunately! BUT it was for my mom’s birthday and she loved everything!!!!! That’s the important part! And our sweet waitress gave mom a complimentary birthday dessert!!$

We had a group of 44 so we made reservations a few days ahead of Wednesday at 6:00pm. We called a few hours ahead of time to see if we needed to pre-order and the receptionist said she would send a text menu in a few minutes. It never happened. We showed on time, we're seated, and orders were taken. After 3 hours 15 minutes 1/3 of our people still didn't have food. It was a horrible experience. The servers continued to apologize, but no food. I was one of the lucky ones and got my burger after about an hour, which was very good. At 9:15 pm we asked for rest of the orders to go. They people that had not eaten did get something in the bags. Not sure what?

I posted I review some time ago about their chicken tenders, stating they have fallen short of their previous self. I am pushing 50 years old and have only ever posted 1 review in my life. This being the second. I am here to say, THEY ARE BACK! The new and improved tenders are so big, the breading just falls right off. The new GM/Head chef has surpassed the old!

I've been meaning to try this place out for a long time. I met a friend there at about 7:30 or 8:00 last night, and it wasn't too busy (not sure how busy it usually gets). Our server was Sarah, she was super patient and friendly. I got the chicken caesar salad, which had bacon on it (everything is better with bacon!) and I honestly think it was the best salad I've ever had. The dressing was subdued but still flavorful, and didn't overwhelm the dish, and the bacon had an almost sweet smoky taste to it. After we got our food, one of the kitchen staff (I think she's the kitchen manager I'm not sure) came out to make sure we were enjoying our food. Her name is Mirline, and she is so sweet. She stayed for a few minutes and talked to me and my friend and was just super friendly. I will definitely be coming back again, this place rocks!!!

Burger was excellent, bartender was attentive and cool. He made sure I had what I needed and had good recommendations. The restaurant was big and had a great vibe. If you’re in Charleston and looking for a burger this is your spot. Get the old fashioned as well??

Sadly, the quality at RCC has declined in my most recent visit. Restaurants in Charleston seem to age in dog years as great chefs start them and then move on to other things. Such is the case with Rutledge. They had a wonderful poutine on the menu....gone. What remains is sub-par sadly.
