Shrimp and Grits Cafe

My first experience there wasn’t a good one…. But something in my mind told me to give them another chance and the food was MUCH BETTER. I had the shrimp and grits both times and the first time it had no taste and presentation was bad. This time it was nicely garnished and tasted extremely different. I would return and do recommend to others

Came to Charleston and couldn’t leave without stopping by the café. I had the shrimp and grits along with the collard rolls. Everything was amazing and I couldn’t slow down eating it was so good. Then I topped it off with that good signature drink, the Gullah Pineapple tea. Delicious ? and the customer service was great (thank you Eric). Can’t wait to go back and try the salmon and grits and that Oyster Po Boy. Wish it was 100 stars ⭐️ because they would get everyone.

Amazing. Chef Carlos is one of my favorite chefs. The Brisket and grits are a must have.

I usually come here every blue moon for their burger.But yesterday they forgot to make my burger after I already paid the excuse I got was that they didn't have enough staff and completely forgot about my order. It wasn't busy, so how could you forget?2) When I was waiting on my burger they rushed my burger and it was not cooked all the way, now I'm dealing with food poisoning.I doubt I'll be ordering from them for awhile or ever again. It's not what it used to be.

I was so completely surprised. Very good good. 12 generations Charlestonian .... in the mall... had fish and grits. Flounder... will be back to try the shrimp. Thanks for a meal without bread.

The food is good! But the only problem is there’s only ONE chef and one person taking the orders. It’s holding up the lines and it wouldn’t make sense to go on your lunch break. You’ll spend the whole time there.

The food is amazing. The service was spectacular. I never had mall food this good! I will be coming back next time I visit Charleston.

Never again will I ever go back!!!! Service was awful as was the food.....I placed a to go order was told it would be 20 mins for they it wasn't busy and they hadn't started on my order and was told it would be another 20 mins noticed once I got home I had paid for 5 meals only got 4. Called to ask for a refund was told they could credit my card for a $10.99 meal that I had received but not the $12.99 meal I didn't receive

What a GEM in a food court in the MALL!!! What delicious CUISINE beside a chick fil a !!!!Boasting a bold menu with bold prices, it sure lives up to its demands. I’d eat this dish over many of the same that I’ve had in the fancy sit downs in Charleston or mount pleasant.Glad to hear they have a place in moncks corner. Still, this taste and talent with the palate is lost anywhere but downtown. So come on down. Would LOVE to visit often on the historic streets of Charleston. Find an old house. Fix it up ans start cooking!!!Hope to see this little diamond sparkle in the environments that deserve its deliciousness.Grits cooked to perfection. Sauce flavorful but not overpowering. Shrimp seasoned and juicy and TENDER!Don’t let the plastic to go dinner ware fool ya. This is five star

Excellent food for a fair price. Don't let it being in a mall food court scare you away. The guy working was cooking our food to order nice and fresh. Nice friendly guy

Shrimp and Grits Cafe in Citadel Mall is absolutely delicious! The best shrimp and grits you’ll ever taste. Everything on the menu that I’ve tried is really good. We really enjoy treating ourselves to a wonderfully delectable meal. Super convenient central location as well. Definitely

Unbelievable that this food is in a mall food court!! The cheddar shrimp and grits were delicious. Great seasoning and hefty portion. This should be a restaurant. A must try.
