Charleston is a collection of chefs who copy and paste recipes from one place to the next. This place is NOT that. Sorghum & Salt gave me one of the best dining experiences of my life. This place is DIFFERENT. Veggie centric with intentionally crafted meat & fish dishes. The short rib was seriously one of the best things I have ever tasted, & dishes like the radishes… you’d have to taste it to know. The Chefs made the experience even better. Super nice, knowledgeable, welcoming. Great conversations. Highly recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back. Start with apps and always end with dessert.

There's no aspect of the dining experience left unnacounted for at Sorghum & Salt. Really knowledgeable/friendly staff, delicious food, beautiful presentation, and DELICIOUS food. I didn't know carrots could taste like that - genuinely thank you to the wait staff and chefs, and anyone else involved, on 3/17/24.Vegetarian options: Tons of Vegan options!! Clearly marked!

Super cute lil place to with great vegan options! Loved the gnocchi. Mike our server was so kind and gave us 2 samples of some nice wines along with the bottle we bought!

I ordered ala carte and the food was fantastic. The Beets Creameux dessert was phenomenal. I picked this restaurant without doing much research and I'm really pleased that I did. Best meal I've had in Charleston or for awhile anywhere.

Small place with really good food. It's definitely expensive. The ricotta was really good, but the sunchokes were absolutely incredible.

Sorghum & Salt was the best restaurant during my trip to Charleston, and I tried some of the highest rated spots. Highly recommend doing the 6-course tasting. Each course was executed to perfection. The locals are definitely sleeping on this spot. I will be back next time I visit Charleston!

Wow, new favorite Resturant alert! I’ve never visited a restaurant with so many plant-based options- such a turn on for me as a foodie :) I couldn’t believe Tres when he said this place has been open for 7 years. Very sad I was late to the party but extremely elated I was able to experience multiple dishes tonight. Get any and everything that catches your eye on the menu :) There is no doubt in my mind that I will be back and soon! Thank you for a great and wonderful experience!Dietary restrictions: Vegan, plant-based.

A very unique and worthwhile dining experience. Get ready for something special. We ordered the beets, acorn squash, mushrooms, scallops and beets desert. Everything was incredible and unique in presentation and taste.

Went back to Sorghum with a large group after a long time. Every single thing we ordered was just delicious. I took a group of out of towners...they were all blown away.

Main highlights: short rib, sea scallops, gnocchiSmall dining room with open views of the kitchen, however, the atmosphere did not yield to an intimate dining experience. The service was not what you have expected from a restaurant of this caliber of rating and price tag, our server didn’t seem very friendly or personable. The short rib is an absolute must, I’ve never had a meat melt in mouth quite like this. The sea scallops were fantastic with a buttery texture and amazing flavor. The gnocchi was some of the best I’ve ever had, crispy outside with a soft chewy inside. The acorn squash and carrot plates were both extremely disappointing. They were over roasted and just tasted burned. Overall, a fun experience trying out the restaurant but not worth the price and portion size to return.

Please be aware of their policies, even if it is a fraudulent charge that created. They had absolutely no regards that has occured as they still want to uphold their cancellation charge. Grant it l explained that l never made a reservation because l worked a 7p-7a shift, and it wasn’t authorized. I was still charged for an unauthorized reservation. Whomever l was corresponding great customer service ( rolls eyes). Poor customer service.
