Food was delicious and the server knew exactly what he was talking about. The scenery and ambiance was fantastic and quite enjoyable. The noise never got too loud where a conversation couldn't be held at a normal speaking volume.

We dined at Southbound for our anniversary in December 2025. It's a lovely restaurant and the service and staff are fantastic. We felt seen and appreciated. The chefs clearly have a gift with preparing proteins. My husband's ribeye and my salmon were perfect. I felt the sides were under seasoned for both dishes. There were no standout sides for the salmon; the quinoa was cooked well but lacked flavor. I was just a bit disappointed with the portion size and sides for the price paid.

High-end place in a restored old home—will impress a date, but honestly the food was hit-or-miss. Risotto was pretty bland but pork chops were outstanding. Salmon was very good. It's obviously pretty expensive but you're paying for the experience.

This was our first time and the experience was great! Service was wonderful. We sat on the covered and heated outdoor patio which was lovely. Food was AMAZING!!!! If you get the Charleston definitely check it out 10/10!
Food was good but entree steaks were overpriced and cuts were tough with fat throughout. Overpriced at $76 for 12oz.

We had a great time! The restaurant was fun, energetic and cozy. The food was great but our server was amazing! Helped me through the menu effortlessly. I decided on the pork chop but wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be well done. Came out perfect and the sever came by to make sure I was happy with the temperature specifically. I highly recommend coming here!

We love Southbound and try to visit whenever we are in Charleston. This visit was a happy hour - fantastic drinks upstairs at the bar! My husband asked to be surprised and enjoyed a mezcal paper plane! It was delicious! The tartare is one of our faves and we also enjoyed the tuna crudo.
