The food and service was excellent, but we were out on the patio because I had my dog with me, and one of the screen doors was broken and the other was wide open. When we got our food the flies were terrible.

Idk about the food other than reviews. Any respectable bbq joint would reply to there customer reviews. Having not seen any just tells me they don't care and reviews are accurate. I'm gonna save my gas and just look elsewhere.

This place is absolutely awesome!! Food was amazing and the server was on point always checking on us. The BBQ sauces they have are amazing also

Good tasting BBQ in a no thrills setting. Brisket and hamburger were excellent. Pork was a little dry. Good sides and nice selection of craft beers and full bar.

Southern Roots Smokehouse has the best full rack bbq I ever had in South Carolina and the best baked beans and waffle fries and the waitress was nice and respectful if y’all visit Charleston go eat at southern roots smokehouse if you don’t u gonna regret it

First time being here. Food was great, some of the best pulled pork/BBQ I've had in SC. My son had a full rack of ribs and was very impressed.

We will be back again when in the area. Very Pleased!!

Would not recommend the pulled pork was over cooked an dry and the rack of ribs could have been cooked longer were way to tough sauce was nasty the macaroni an cheese had only 2 pieces of cheese and the prices where not worth the quality

The Smokehouse Platter and extra side of Brisket was AMAZING! Chance was Great dealing with us older couple from Colorado and Carolina transplants! Thank you Paul the rub on the ribs was unforgettable! Cheers with another Jameson Orange 🥃🥃

Was absolutely awesome! The brisket, smoked chicken, pulled pork, and mac and cheese. The hash and rice was something new, but will have it again! Will most definitely be back!
