I hate leaving bad and mixed reviews.
I love Jayla's customer service she is always so kind. However, what i can NOT stand is the fact that every single time I place an order with her, something is secretly promised to be made incorrectly. Unfortunately I also work food and bev and have worked barista jobs in the past as well and I understand the stress and confusion with the job. But every single day? I feel like there should be at least some improvements to preventing repetitive mistakes.

All other Starbucks in the area were closed and they were extremely busy, so it took over 30 minutes to get a coffee. However, I think they handled it very well!

Clemson Trouble

We stopped by this Starbucks during our trip and had a great experience. The drinks were freshly made, and the staff was so friendly and upbeat—it really made the visit feel welcoming.

The store was clean and well-organized, and it had a cozy atmosphere that made it a nice little break in our day. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or staying to relax for a bit, this location has a nice vibe and great service.

Bathrooms were clean (which is always appreciated while traveling), and our order came out quickly and exactly right. We’ll definitely be stopping by again next time we’re in the area!

Love the crew at the King and Mary Starbucks. They know my drink when I come in, they get it ready in a flash, they are friendly and always chat with me for a few minutes and overall, I like these people. They make my day better every time I visit!!!

Service is usually great , today I asked for a complimentary water that’s usually free at Starbucks but I was told I could not get water unless I bought something but a caucasian woman before me got a free water and i felt offended

January 24, 2025 at 6:30am, I arrived at Starbucks on King and Mary Street. When I went to try to open the door the doors were locked. So I knocked on the window, watched two barista looked at me and continued to make drinks. I waited about 3 to 4 mins before the next customer arrived and knocked on the window. As soon as he knocked one of the barista walked over and open the door and had a whole conversation with him and fail to give me any type of conversation or eye contact. By the way I’m a black female and the other customer was a white male.
The barista explained to the caucasian customer, they were having technical issues and they will be back open in 30mins. I ended up going down the road to the other Starbucks and had the best customer service experience. I returned to the Starbucks on King and Mary Street asked the barista why she fail to give me any type of eye contact or even open the door for me. She saw me standing there at the door I watched her watch me. You should know she made it seem like she never saw me and when she noticed the other man she come right to the door, and explained to him why they were not open. “She explained to him”, that statement made it very clear she saw me, wasn’t willing to talk to me or open the door when she saw me. I don’t want to play the victim or use the race card, but she definitely racially profiled me.
I been going to King and Mary Starbucks since they opened always been treated with respect. Long story short I will no longer support a business that doesn’t respect me and see me as a person.
