FRUSTRATING! Whenever I visit the city I take the opportunity to go to Sugar, and I have recommended this place for years. But the continued neglect caused me immense frustration. Today I called asking them to store my child's favorite cookie, I explained that I was 45 minutes away and they gave me the word that I could go as they would store the units they had, so I could pick it up and pay at the store.I drove for 45 minutes and when I got there, the lady said they sold out because they were busy. I was frustrated with the disrespect for my time, with the expectations of a child that were broken, and with the lack of words the person had.Unfortunately I don't see how I can recommend this place. Things are good, but the lack of respect for the customer made me give up there, and certainly in the same way I recommended to everyone, I will disclose what happened.

My children and I like to think of ourselves as their best customers! This is our favorite after school stop for a cookie, cupcake, or one of their specials. Who wouldn't be happy after a stop in this cute, cheerful, yummy spot!

I ordered a variety of cupcakes for my friend’s birthday, and they were delicious! Everyone enjoyed them! I also ordered gluten-free cupcakes for me, and they were also so yummy! Service was great and friendly. I highly recommend Sugar Bakeshop!

I was traveling from out of town to celebrate a 50th BD. I contacted them for a a simple vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. We picked it up and it was ready and as promised. We had 9 people at dinner and the cake was delicious. The BD friend does not really like frosting but went back for seconds. Whatever frosting you use was perfect Thanks so much

If you want a plain boring cake this is your place. If you're looking for a nicely decorated birthday cake for your loved one, then don't even consider this place. When placing the order I asked for ganache filling, they said we don't do that, or any filling in fact. They also said they don't do any sort of flowers or frosting decorations, Just sprinkles. I went with it because I didn't call in time for other bakeries. You would think such a plain cake would be cheap too... No, almost 100 dollars for a white cake and clear sprinkles. I ordered almond, and the only thing "almond" about it was the overpowering flavor of almond extract in the frosting. This cake was dense, hard and flavorless. The actual cake has literally no flavor at all, it's like I'm eating a kitchen sponge. They also frosted the cake right to the edge of the cardboard surface it is on, so I had to physically touch the cake to get it out of the box. This is the type of bakery you go to get a cookie or a desert to go. Not to order a nicely baked cake.

Staff was rude. Got an almond cake. Cake was dry and didn’t taste like almond. Only the frosting with almond extract. Wasn’t good.

Delicious cupcakes!!! We tried the gluten free and the lemon curd. Both were good, but the lemon curd was out of this world!

Everything this place has to offer is amazing. Went to pick up a mocha birthday cake and it was hard to walk out with a dozen cupcakes, cookies and cinnamon buns. The bakery is so cute and small and everyone is always polite and helpful. The mocha cake though is amazing. The chocolate cake is moist and rich without being overly sweet and the coffee buttercream is smooth with a good natural coffee flavor.

Shop was adorable. Customer service from ordering to pickup was fantastic. Unfortunately, the cakes were dry and the frosting was much too sweet, almost grainy. They were pretty though.

Cute little bakery on Cannon St. in a residential neighborbood. Cider donuts were delicious and on a par with the ones I enjoy back home in Massachusetts. Highly recommend!
