I don’t even eat sushi anymore, because yoshi and sunset are gone. I can’t turn back now.

The best dinner I've had in a long long time. Quite possibly the best dumplings I've ever had. I wanted to cry tears of joy at each bite of food. Will be dreaming of this place for the rest of my life. You HAVE to go.

This place is a hidden gem. Omakase is the way to go. Lots of different tastes. Chef Yoshi was very entertaining throughout the entire service. Not your typical sushi experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Learned a lot about sushi we would never have picked off a menu. Highly recommended!!

Exquisite fresh sushi. Flown in from Japan and absolutely delicious. By far the best place in Charleston.

Best sushi in Charleston. Chef Yoshi is entertaining and very creative with the Omakase dining. Not to be missed.

Disclaimer: while I've been lucky to have tried omakase a few times before, I can't claim to be a sushi expert -- I've been known to enjoy my volcano rolls. But I do love food. And my food-loving self CAN say that the sushi and dishes here are fresh, tasty, and creative. I especially liked how Chef Yoshi integrates local ingredients while remaining true to traditional flavors.

Chef Yoshi is an artist. No more words needed. This place is worth a visit. The fish was fresh and the flavors were paired perfectly. This place makes it very difficult to enjoy other sushi spots.

This experience is unbelievable! Yoshi is the most fun and knowledgeable, and the sushi is ridiculously good. In an unassuming, modest venue, the food is far from that. Order the Omasake for two, it has an unreal price, and you get SO MUCH food. Sit up at the bar stools to watch Yoshi work. The sushi here is the real deal, better than most I've ever had.

Best sushi in Charleston Yoshi knows his cuts and the Japanese way to perfect every bite! Defiantly try out the experience. Another level when it comes to sushi. Omakase!!!

This was by far the best sushi experience I've ever had. Chef Yoshi made us incredible meal that gave me a true understanding of what a real omakase dining experience should be. Great food, great chef, great experience. I can't wait to go back with friends.

Sushi made me sick one time and I usually don't return to places when I've gotten food poisoning. I had been there 4 times before and the food was really good but have not returned since my last time there due to me falling sick. I might try again in future because they have good sushi deals.

If you are wanting a more personal/one on one experience with the chef, this is the place to go. Yoshi makes you feel like you have been best friends for years. They all are extremely welcoming and genuine. Spread the word about Sunset and Yoshi. He serves the best sushi in the area. It's the perfect spot for a date night or smaller group dinner.

Wow! We love our sushi and ramen, and we hold it to a high standard wherever we go, and this is the best we've ever had. Everything is authentic, and you can taste the quality. Sit at the counter and enjoy a truly fantastic experience. Yoshi really knows what he's doing! We can't stop talking about the wonderful food and service. We'll be regulars from now on!

You may be skeptical, thinking, how can an incredible breakfast place also have sushi? Well, stop that. It's awesome. Chef Yoshi is a master of the art. The cuts are extraordinary, the presentation sublime. Chef Yoshi himself is an experience, marvel how he pokes fun at your friends, yells at you for being on your phone and then gives you free samples of the best the sea has to offer. I cannot overstate how good this was, it blew my mind. We got the chefs choice for two and heaps of incredible sake and left more than satisfied. Do it. Treat yourself.

What a wonderful dining experience! Served in 5 courses, everything was presented beautifully and tasted spectacular. First time I've ever had real wasbi and was impressed with the difference in experience. Every flavor in each dish/bite complemented one another so well. Chef Yoshi was also quite the entertainer-- we were treated to a dinner and a show! I can't talk this place up enough. I love sushi and have tried my fair share over the years, but this was honestly the best experience I've ever had. Chef Yoshi is creating art here. Don't pass this place by.
