What a fabulous experience!
This was my second time and all the food was out of this world!
The beef bite at the end was also unbelievable!
I would recommend getting a bottle of sake if you have 2 or 3 people in your group.

Love Sushi-Wa. One of my absolute FAVORITE restaurants. I always leave satisfied but still cannot wait until my next visit. One of these days, I’ll book and sit for both seatings in a single night!

Went in early March - Amazing experience and phenomenal food. The chefs are wonderful, and we can’t wait be back for this experience again. It is pricey, but you can try amazing food that you may not get the chance to anywhere else, especially no where else in town. book today!! You won’t regret it

I’d been patiently waiting for a Resy notification for Sushi-Wa, and when it finally came through (at 5am, no less), I jumped on it — and it was absolutely worth the wait.

This isn’t just dinner; it’s a true dining experience. The setting is intimate, with only a handful of seats at the sushi bar, creating a cozy, relaxed atmosphere that feels both special and personal. The staff is warm and attentive without being overbearing, and everything runs seamlessly — often, I found what I needed had already appeared before I even asked.

Chris, our sushi chef, was outstanding. He’s clearly passionate about his craft, and it shows in every detail. The fish was pristine — incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and often so tender it melted in your mouth. Each piece of nigiri was served individually, allowing you to really savor each bite and appreciate the progression of flavors.

This is not the place for oversized rolls or heavy sauces — it’s about quality over quantity, and a deep respect for the ingredients. If you love nigiri or want to experience high-level sushi in Charleston, this is an exceptional spot. It rivals sushi I’ve had in much larger cities, and honestly, I’m already looking forward to going back.

Highly recommend for anyone who truly appreciates well-crafted sushi in an intimate, welcoming setting.

It's like a R Kitchen for Sushi! BYOB for wine, $25 corkage few. They have awesome Saki. We can't wait to go back, it's hard to get reservations, roughly 12 people per seating with 2 seating a night. Closed Mon and Tues,

The best Omakase experience I’ve ever had and for a reasonable price considering how fresh and delicious the fish is, and how wonderful the staff are. They were very accommodating for a solo diner and that is much appreciated!

Amazing omakase restaurant!!! We watched it all be prepared, by two sushi chefs. It’s kind of like waiting for bites of food, one amazing piece at a time. Will definitely say it’s the best quality of fish I’ve ever had! But so much rice and fish, I do wish there were some veggies. It’s really just amazing raw seafoods on rice. With a perfect seasoning, just no veggies at all. We ate 15 pieces over 1.5 hours. Definitely a fun chefs menu experience!

This meal was incredible! Everything tasted amazing. I highly recommend adding the A5 Wagu, it was like butter just melted in your mouth. It's pricey but totally worth it. It's 14 pieces a piece made right in front of you. We will definitely be returning.

Bliss. Unfortunately this place ruined sushi almost everywhere else in the state. Once you raise the bar that high, it’s hard to meet.
