A friend of mine had a bad fall. I wanted to send her something (other than flowers) to let her know I was thinking of her. I found Sweet Lulu's website and saw they deliver. The process was a little confusing, since I was doing this after hours. I carefully followed the instructions. My friend loved the mini basket that Sweet Lulu's delivered. So glad to find this kettle treasure.

After reviewing her business, where I initially gave her 3 stars for her cake and but dropped it to 1 after she began to harass, insult, berate, and started a constant smear campaign against me simply because I refuse to remove my review as she demanded. She stated, "If I am not going to give someone 5 stars, I shouldn't review anyone." Sorry, Yelp just doesn't work that way. I give honest reviews. My reviews can't be bought or bullied. I will not categorize her behavior but you're welcome to read it and judge for yourself. She went to say, "do you know what your wife is doing...you need to get your wife under control!" She emailed him at work 3 times. My husband has nothing to do with my reviews. They are my opinions. I decided to buy the cake for a good friend for her 60th birthday. I tried getting the information to pay her for two days using Venmo. Gave her my Venmo so she can request payment. Nothing. No communication via telephone if you try to call. They will not call you back says the recording. **The night before the cake was to be delivered to IOP, the owner cancels the order on me and says there are no more cakes available even though I ordered it two days before. Be careful with this business. Left me without a gift for her special day.

I ordered The Pineapple cake from Sweet Lulus for my anniversary. She made it the same day we arrived to Charleston and had it delivered to our hotel, The Wentworth Mansion. When we arrived it was waiting for us. We arrived 30 minutes after it was delivered. At her request, I took a picture of the cake and sent it to her. We wrapped up the cake. Then went to dinner. We didn't eat it until much later that night, after 10 pm. I was super excited about this cake because my husband loves pineapple. It wasn't what we expected. I looked on her website, on multiple pages, and I couldn't find any details about this cake. I made the mistake of assuming that since it looked like a pineapple, it was also flavored like a pineapple. So we were both very disappointed when it wasn't. It was still a tasty cake. It tasted like a flavorful pound cake with buttery (not sweet) frosting. The frosting tasted like you are just eating butter. I didn't like the frosting at all it wasn't my husband's favorite either. I make a fluffy buttercream with a lot more confectioners sugar, heavy whipping cream, and a few more ingredients. I don't like to tasting the butter nor do I want my frosting to be overly sweet. I like a balanced and fluffy buttercream frosting that can hold its shape. Lulus frosting tasted like pipped butter to us. The frosting was very heavy and greasy. The pound cake was delicious. It was the best pound cake I've ever had. The pound cake was moist and had a nice flavor. It was a heavy cake with a dense consistency without being dry like some pound cakes. It really just needed the natural pineapple flavoring even if it was between the pound cake layers. Since posting this review I have been bullied by the owner in an attempt to remove this fair and honest review. She is slandering and threatening us. I get she doesn't like my review. Maybe instead of vehemently and nastily attacking her customers she should listen to their feedback. She might just improve her business. (This was originally a three star review. It got downgraded because of how disrespectful and nastily we've been treated.) I have received dozens of emails. I sent her two emails asking her to remove my personal information she published without my consent. Neither my husband nor I have had further contact with her nor will we. She never reached out to me as she stated but did email my husband multiple times saying, "You need to take control of your wife." I don't know about most marriages nowadays, but ours isn't like that.

Oh my! It doesn't get any better than Sweet Lulu's when you need a beautiful and delicious treat! I sent a cake for Mother's Day that came complete with an amazing flower arrangement on top. My mom LOVED it! Great service, hand delivered on time and oh so good! Thank you Lulu's!

From the day I placed my order to the minute it was delivered, I felt certain things would go smoothly...and they did! Delivery was right on time and from what I hear, the treats were scrumptious. Only regret is that I couldn't be there to taste them myself.

Delicious and super cute arrangement of goodies! I ordered a birthday basket for my mom since I couldn't be with her to celebrate her 70th and it was the perfect gift. It had a cake for two along with an assortment of other goodies all wrapped up and delivered. I found Sweet Lulu's Bakery thru Yelp and loved the idea of a cake and goodie basket. The owner was amazing to deal with. I got a response right away and I even got a picture that the basket had been delivered. My mom raved about the cake and all the goodies, cookies, pie in a jar, etc. What a lovely little gem Sweet Lulu's is. So glad we could help support a small business during this time. Looking forward to being able to get more treats from here!!!!
