The atmosphere was nice not to busy or crowded. I ordered 2 tacos one carnitas and grilled fish.. they both were dry to the extent I couldn't even finish the tacos. That made me not even want to eat the rice or beans sadly. The bartender was great I obviously didn't want to pay almost 50 just for the food but the bartender took care of me well so I just accepted the fact the food was not to par.

We visited Taco Boy during our vacation in Charleston. Taco Boy was recommended to us by one of the vendors at the city market. Our food was insanely good. Their queso is amazing. I also recommend the birria tacos, I loved them! We had great service here and the look of the restaurant is spot on!

Taco Boy has been a long time favorite for me since living in Charleston and now when I visit. This recent visit was disappointing.. the food was ok but not great. Service was slow and it seems understaffed as they weren't able to seat me even though there were open tables .. so I ordered to go. The guacamole was still good. Hope this was just a blip and not the trend.

1st time here. Seemed like long wait for food, but food was great! Had Korean kimchi taco & fried chicken taco. Wish CA had this place.
We met to view this venue for a rehearsal dinner. The food was wonderful and so were the drinks. The sales lady was attentive and answered everyone’s questions. We are looking forward to having their special event there.
On a note for other patrons, allowing your children to run rampant in their social area with games is really astounding. During the several hours we were there, we witnessed toddlers to age 6ish destroy plants, tear off parts of trees, hit and chase each other with the plant/tree parts and wonder about with no adult seeming to care. At the same time watched an extremely large group of young teenish kids pelt each other with the bean bags for corn-hole game while also screaming and running back and forth dodging the bags. It was like watching an outdoor version of Chuck E Cheese with adults completely ignoring all minors while they impacted others dining experiences. This establishment is clearly trying to make this a nice family friendly place but do you really need to abuse that? There were 6 adults in our group that all raised our own kids and were all in awe of the lack of care by the adults who ignored this behavior. You could have easily ruined a 50 person event for this establishment.
I’m still rating this 5/5 because it’s not their fault the parents didn’t care about their kids but if this establishment changes its policies or corrects your kids (which in my opinion I’m shocked they didn’t) in the future don’t be surprised. It’s not Chuck E Cheese and deserves to be treated respectfully.

Never disappoints!! I usually get tacos, but chose the rice bowl with grilled chicken, black beans, and green sauce…delicious! It was a flavor burst in my mouth…the pepitas gave it crunch, the green sauce had just enough heat, and everything just tasted so good together.

Our experience unfortunately did not start well.. we requested to be sat outside and when we got to our table, there was bird poop on the seat. I didn’t think anything of it and took a napkin to brush it off, however it was fresh bird poop and it smeared all over the seat and napkin. The hostess was standing right next to me and watched this happen, and proceeded to walk away and not say anything. I had wet wipes with me so I at least able to clean it myself. We ordered tacos and while we received the correct tacos, the toppings did not match what was described on the menu. They still tasted great, so that was good! Our server did not come see us for a long time, and it was actually a manager who came out and asked us if we were ready for our bill and helped us pay. Our server then came out and asked us if we wanted our bill… after we had already payed. She was very standoffish and did not seem like she wanted to be there. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was really nice and I would have loved to have a nicer experience in terms of service, but the food was good!
