I had really high hopes after my wife got a raving recommendation to go here. Waiting almost 40 minutes for a mediocre watered down drink is not my idea of a good experience. People walked up on porch, discovered they had to order online...ordered and walked out with their drinks before us. I understand COVID isn’t easy on businesses, but close to 40 minutes for 2 drinks is not any fault of a pandemic. Their current process for pickup is sticking their head out the door and shouting a bunch of names at people waiting on the porch. Of which NO one was claiming orders that she was shouting...people had to knock on the door and tell the girl they were here. Other businesses are working hard and still providing a decent level of customer service and I recommend you use one of them, because this place is a $hit show. I kept thinking if there’s this many people it must be good...nope. The tea itself is maybe a 2 out of 10, (wife gave hers a shrug and said “I probably won’t go back”) and service is -1. Save yourself the headache of waiting 40 for a watered down tea.

Don’t waste your time here. We ordered the drinks and had to be wait for 30 mins. When I came to the door, there were a couple arrived after me and they call them to pick up the order. The thing is their order was just about 15 mins ago. They definitely got a drinks and walked out. I was still waiting for 5 more minutes until I complained that I had waited for so long.

Amazing service! If you want absolutely amazing milk tea come here. Why is this the best? It's the best because they are very kind and make your milk tea fresh and tasty!!!

Their drinks are always decadent, and the service is friendly and fast. Love the iced matcha coffee latte with bobas added.

They won’t let you inside and they make you stand outside in the heat to order through their website. and their website isn’t that great. Then as I spent 10 minutes navigating their website to find what I wanted and five minutes entering in my payment information I get a message telling me my drink will be ready in 27 minutes. So, if you want to spend an hour in The heat to get a drink, then be my guest. I will pass on this place next time.

The best authentic boba tea in all of Charleston! Their food is really tasty also. Their Thai tea actually tastes like Thai tea and not that gross stuff, but my favorite is their frozen taro!

Amazing bubble tea! I wanted the Lavender Milk Tea but they were out, so I subbed it for the Coconut Coffee Milk Tea. Probably some of the best bubble tea I've ever had! I'm here from Detroit visiting family in Charleston and I will definitely say this made my vacation in Charleston ten times better! Very friendly staff :) Would definitely recommend!

[Coronavirus review]They are focusing on online orders, a common thread these days. The system suggested it would take like twenty minutes to get my tea ready, but in fact it was ready like two minutes after I ordered. Since I had timed everything up, this meant that it sat there with ice melting for a while, which irked me.The options were nice. Their flavored teas can be enhanced with jellies and popping boba for a very reasonable rate, which are both delicious. They don't really have any food at the moment, just drinks. I enjoyed my tea, and appreciated the option to customize the amount of ice and the sweetness level as well. My search for bubble tea isn't over (and probably never will be), but they produced a quality beverage.

they only allow you to order ahead online. i ordered at 5.07 and it wasn't ready until 5.50. i went to go check to see if it was ready around 5.20 because boba tea does not take that long to makethey said no it's not but wait for a text to your phone to go through. they didn't say how much longer mine would be when they asked my name. they didn't say what number in line i was. they didn't say why it was taking so long. nothing.so i waited and waited and waited. finally at 5.50 i got the text and went to get itand they don't even use the plastic sealed lids you poke the straw through. so if you want to have your drink you have to open the entire lid and risk spilling it in your car or whereverthe drink wasn't even all that fantastic eitheri can understand there's a pandemic going on and they might be short staffed, but at least tell your customers what's going on so they aren't waiting for seemingly no reason and becoming angry

Always great Milk Tea, I like to get the traditional milk tea (black tea, milk, sugar) with no ice and boba (tapioca) and lychee jelly. A whole meal on its own. I also highly recommend the spicy chicken nuggets. make sure to not park in that parking lot right next to it.COVID: online order only at drinktapio.com, food available Fri - Sun, mask not mandatory

We order a regular boba tea and a taro tea! There were both Delish! Also ordered passion fruit tea, but the passion fruit taste was not strong at all.

favorite boba place! I stop by every time I’m in the area. fruit juices are amazing and staff is always super friendly. my only complaint is that I wish they had more vegan/vegetarian options on their menu.

Loved my visit here! I had been going to the ice bing cafe for my matcha kick but it was closed so I decided to try this place out and wasn't disappointed! Ordered the matcha strawberry latte and was wonderful! Not too sweet just right! Cute cafe and Really friendly staff also! Will definitely keep them on my 'to go' list once I return to Charleston!
