Went here for a friend's dinner recently. In the Mills Hotel near the battery. It was okay, nothing crazy. The Charcuterie board was fantastic i will say. Drinks were good but a little overpriced. The chicken sandwich was solid but still a little bit expensive. Wouldn't say I would go out of my way to come here, but wasn't disappointed. It was easy to get a reservation at

My wife and I walked in as it started to rain for 3 hours straight. We were so lucky enough to dine at the bar with herculeus as the bartender. With 3 hours on our hands we learned his knowledge for drinks and good food. We just stopped for food but our next trip to Charleston we will stay at the mills.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite restaurants for breakfast or lunch in Charleston. It's quiet, and the food is very good. The servers are always very kind and attentive. You can park near the hotel in the garage.

The service was slow. We were a party of 5 and the waiter was not checking on us enough. They lost are food ticket in the back so we were waiting more than an hour maybe two until we said something. Our friend was give a broken glass that almost cut her lip. Would not recommend

Very disappointed in the quality of the food. The shrimp starter was tasteless and when I asked for the brussels spouts my waitress said there were none left! The chef did not make enough. The steak was also tasteless So many great restaurants in Charleston don't waste your time with this one

As a hotel guest, I stopped by the outdoor patio area for a drink. The waiter came to every table but mine. After waiting 20 minutes, I finally walked to the bar and finally got a beer. Unless the business model is "self serv", service is obviously an issue.

Stopped in for a cocktail before heading to a wedding. We ordered the Courtyard Cooler and the Blackberry Basil Smash. Both drinks were well made and refreshing. The bartender was nice and the hotel/bar had a very high class Charleston atmosphere.

The waitress was nice . The rest of the experience was mediocre. We stood at the waitress stand for 10 mins while no one approached. Finally walked to the bar to ask if we seat ourselves. Several guest after us encountered the same . Please place a sign that says "Seat Yourself " if that's the protocol. The food took a while to come out.portions were small. We expected an actual ribeye for the steak and eggs, not just four slices, overcooked. The half if chicken breast sat on too of a DRYYY crispy Belgian waffle. They accommodated by recooking the waffle and steak. The chicken sandwich was also dry. The bacon on the chicken sandwich was crispy. The children's pizza was the only satisfactory meal. There was also a very dangerous damaged wooden table leg. Anyone with ion toe shoes could realllllly hurt themselves.

The restaurant is in a hotel lobby. It feels like more of a bar setting with some tables off to the side so the ambiance is not ideal. Our waiter was very good but the kitchen was very slow. We had plenty of time before our play began and yet we had to cancel our appetizers and just eat the entrees due to time constraints. The entrees were delicious- I had the tagliatelle with shrimp, squid, mussels and fish - very tasty sauce. My husband had the fish which he really enjoyed. Even though the food itself was good, I would hesitate to go back when there are places with more timely service and better ambiance.

The French Fries were good… that’s the best I got. Service was horrible… with the exception of the bartender who wasn’t very friendly either but he can make a drink! We had a reservation, there was signage asking us to wait to be seated. After waiting a while, we finally wandered in to see where we needed to sit. The bartender seated us. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the chicken was mostly super dark meat which tripped me out a little. ? I was finishing my fries since I dissected my sandwich and ate the bacon off of it and my husband ordered a drink and our waiter tossed a napkin in my plate and picked it up while I was still eating ? Then tried to give it back with the napkin laid in the middle of it when he realized I was eating. Just overall not a great experience and Charleston food is too good to waste a dinner here ?

Family stayed 1week here in Charleston at The Mills House, Beautiful historic hotel. We ate Brunch and Dinner several times at Barbados Room. The food and staff were Amazing!! Went above and beyond. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely pathetic service, these guys have no respect for hotel guests. One of the clown at desk who was absolutely drunk last night said that they will be serving brunch the next day from 8-2pm, at 1pm next day there is another disoriented employee said “oh we are closing early today” ..wow! Is this some kind of joke sitting here in the heart of Charleston, these guys need to be kicked out of this hotel. Please look around the queen street, there are amazing restaurants nearby and avoid this place even if you are living here in windham. Absolutely unwelcoming atmosphere at this restaurant.

Sorry, can't leave a food review as we did not eat here. But we did have a couple of drinks the nights we stayed at the Mills House. Service was great, Steve!
