Got served a warm martini, service was really slow for a Thursday, they only prioritized the bar, and forgot our food. Even with a discount, plenty of other bars will give better service.

Great little cocktail bar. Wide variety of drinks. Very intimate feel for friends or a date. I had a passion fruit Paloma which was good but a tad in the sweet side. The bartenders aren’t super chatty but they’re also super busy making drinks due to the variety. Would definitely come back to try more on the menu!

James and the other bartenders are very hospitable and knowledgeable. cocktails are incredible, well balanced and refreshing. would highly recommend, one of the best bars in charleston (as a local).

All I can say is WOW. My sister and I were visiting for a girls weekend and came across The Belmont while walking King Street. From the welcoming staff as we entered seats were made available quickly! Let me tell you- their holiday and their full time cocktails are incredible. We sat at the bar, and James couldn’t have been sweeter-plus can that man make a martini like no other!! The Belmont will absolutely be on our “must visit” next time in Charleston!

If you are African-American, you are not welcome. I went to visit the Belmont with my Caucasian friend. They made sure not to identify check him they made sure to follow me around the bar and identify Check me if you’re African-American I highly do not recommend. My Caucasian friend asked me why are they checking you and not me I find that very weird.
