Chai was drinkable at best. Absurd pricing. Probably wouldn't return.

I’ll give this a generous 3rd star because of the great atmosphere and adequate service, but it was the absolute most undrinkable iced chai latte I’ve ever had.

The place seemed nice. We went in today (on a busy Saturday) and ordered 2 lattes and grilled cheese and sausage sandwiches. I went back -soon in long line, and asked the guy for a cup of ice. He was very rude. He was rude earlier but this time just brushed me off. He gave me a small cup, I wanted a later one and was wanting to pay for it. He kind of bushed me aside and helped the person behind me.

Staff/person working on 7/27 - before closing - was rude even after I gave her a decent tip. Not a good look for this upscale hotel. If you don’t treat guests with respect - we won’t return -

Open air cafe that feels very welcoming, extremely cozy and amazing service! The barista knows what they’re doing too, the honey bunny was absolutely on point. Muffins were top tier

A cool escape from the Charleston heat, with stunning decor and sips to write home about. Special shoutout to barista Caroline for making our morning start with a smile and showing that infamous southern hospitality 🤍 Telling all of our friends to stop in on their next trip!

Pretty good, reasonably priced for the area. Guy behind the counter was pretty cute, wouldn’t give me his number, tho (jk, I didn’t ask). Would go again. Good work, y’all.

A Must-Visit Coffee Spot in Charleston
We stopped by The Black Door Cafe during our first visit to Charleston, and it quickly became a highlight of the trip. The coffee was rich and flavorful—clearly made with care. The atmosphere is sleek, calm, and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the moment. I’d absolutely go out of my way just to have their coffee again.

I got the iced matcha latte with oat milk and this was the best matcha latte I’ve ever had. It was absolutely fantastic, I got two! I put artificial sweetener in mine because I can not have the extra sugar but I would definitely recommend. The staff members were sweet and adorable as well! Great experience!
