Stopped by for drinks before dinner and we were told 3/06/2021 was their last day open which came as a surprise. The bartender says they are closing and rebranding as something else. Good food, great service, can't wait to see what they do next.

I was saddened about the news of the restaurant closing its doors on March 7th.? This is a favorite of mine and the smoked beans are to die for, yum? I will miss coming to this restaurant, but at least I got the memories and had one more last meal. Thank you Macintosh for the great meals.

The menu looked great and the the staff was very nice. But we made a reservation here because they claim to have "outside seating." They do not. The courtyard seating is fully enclosed---four walls and a ceiling--with wood and plastic. Because it lacks a proper HVAC systemic, the "outside" seating is even more dangerous than inside the dining room. Not covid safe.

Solid King Street spot...good crowded...food and service timely and attentive... management checked in often. Cocktails were good...wine by the glass list (red) was meh. Overalls,.a spot I'll visit again, definitely.

Great brunch spot. Had Bloody Mary and the Duke. That was delicious. Sunny side egg was perfect and chicken was not dry. Service was great.

As I write this review, I am still steadily recovering after being punch in the mouth from a barrage of fantastic food! We had an amazing dinner at The Macintosh for Charleston Restaurant week. The food was amazing, don't believe me, caught it in a photo. My wife and I both chose the 3 for a $35 dinner special, which from my research, is the best around town. The food was absolutely on point. We started off strong with the charcuterie and housemade sausage. The housemade sausage was a smoked kielbasa that had a ton of smoke and flavor. Accompanied with picked veggies and mustard on both plates, this was delicious. Next we went for Confit pork and steak frites. The steak was cooked to order and the chimchurri sauce to accompany worked very well. My wife ordered the pork confit that came with goose bean cassoulet and pork jus. I was so jealous I didn't double up and order that too. My steak frites was delicious, but the pork confit was divine. Seriously, it reminded me of my mother in-law's humbat dish that I swear is part of my "last meal" request. For dessert we ordered the strawberry mouse and Mac crunch. We were stuffed by this point but pushed through cause the food was still hitting hard. Very very good meal. We were expecting it to be bang for our buck, but got much more. Jack took care of us for the evening and was phenomenal as well. He truly made us feel welcome in someone else's kitchen and dining as if we were close friends. Thank you to the team for a fantastic evening. Go show some support and enjoy one of the best meals in Charleston!

This restaurant is AMAZING!!!! Me and my wife visited Charleston last night for our 8th anniversary and stumbled across this gorgeous restaurant. The service was superb and the food was even better!!!! The chefs did an amazing job in his choice of food parings, as a fellow restaurant owner all I can say is WOW!!! Me and my wife were raving about this place the entire night.

We chose the restaurant on a whim and were very pleased. While the menu is small it's packed with flavor and creativity. For the first time ever, I ordered a completely plant based meal. So much flavor. The wines were excellent. Our server, Ryan, was courteous, friendly, and informative. He new every detail about the menu items. We will be back.

This was a great find on King Street for happy hour. Many unique drink options. The bartenders are true mixologists. Great atmosphere! They had good happy hour specials and the calamari that we ordered for an appetizer was prepared perfectly!

As soon as we stepped foot in the door, we felt welcome and appreciated. When we were seated, our server greeted us with a glass of celebratory champagne, and the wonderful manager, Anna, came over to say hello and make sure we were well taken care of. We started with the ricotta gnuddi, short ribs, and foie toast, followed by the seared wreckfish and the Mac burger. Every bite was absolutely divine. I cannot recommend The Macintosh enough, and am so looking forward to my next meal there!

Wonderful brunch! Everything is delicious and beautiful. The waitstaff is very friendly and pleasant. The food took a while to be prepared but it was worth it. It is pricey. For 3 of us it was $60 plus tip for brunch and coffees.

We were at Macintosh for their special Thanksgiving meal and were seated in their courtyard. It was a nice discovery to have outdoor dining along this busy part of King Street. The courtyard was done well and they have a brick wall surrounding it and it looks very nice. Of course, they have a busy indoor dining room and bar which is much less spaced out while the courtyard was perfectly set-up for this Covid era. The drinks were wonderful and the food was excellent. They had a great balance of creative menu items that still had a familiar comfort to them. Our server was wonderful and made our visit special. She was always on top of things and making sure everything was timely and we never had to worry about a thing. A definite visit in Charleston.

An exceptional experience in every way. Cocktails were fantastic, food was superb, and service was warm and inviting.I was very excited to find vegan collard greens on the menu. I’m a pescatarian, and they’re so hard to find without bacon or ham involved. But the highlight was the striped bass, which was cooked to perfection.Tip: Happy hour from 5-7 was quite good, with half off many wines, drinks, and starters.
