I had pancakes with Blueberries and pecans. Another friend had a barbeque plate and another had catfish nuggets with sides. This is a very quiet, homestyle place. During lunch this place is always full of people. The waitress is nonstop and takes care of her customers very well.

I recently tried this place and wasnt impressed.

The frying batter had very little seasoning so dont bother ordering anything fried from here. The chicken, fried green tomato, Zucchini and yellow had very little seasoning and were just not good.

When the food was placed in the Styrofoam to-go container it was hot enough to melt through, so I probably ate some of the container before noticing....

The BBQ fries were only lightly salted and the pork was decent, but there was no bbq sauce. There was also nothing to bind the slaw, fries, and pork together, so everything just sort of fell apart as you were eating it.

Considering they charged me just shy of 40 bucks for a meal and an app, you'd think they'd have more pride in the quality of food they put out. Fast food options are just around the corner and give a more consistent and more affordable option if you're just looking for a fried mess.

Growing up in south mississippi, it's sad to see that this is some of what charleston is giving out as their "traditional" southern cuisine.

It’s not much to look at but the food is really good. I would not order the fries again because they were plain and cold but everything else was good enough to more than make up for them. This is definitely a locals place and I’m just sorry it took so long to find it but unfortunately for me it’s almost an hour away from where I live. They were pretty busy and only had one server but that young lady knows her job very well. One son ordered an omelette with a pancake and both were huge. The pancake was the size of a hubcap.(I’m not exaggerating) despite the long drive I will definitely return and do highly recommended.

This is the best-kept secret in West Ashley. The crab patty and hamburger sandwich was INCREDIBLE and the onion rings are to die for. I wish I lived closer because I would eat there at least once a week. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Waitresses are excellent.One waitress has an identic memory for my order.
