Half-shell oysters and drinks were great as usual. Entree options were limited and we chose shrimp rice and the steak with chimichurri. Neither were very good unfortunately. Shrimp rice was bland and steak unfortunately lacked any beef flavor even at medium rare. Chimichurri was star of the show but was all you could taste. This was our 3rd time there and the other 2 times were fantastic, maybe just an off night.

This placed lived up to the hype! Food was fantastic! Our server was very accommodating & provided a dairy free option for my wife that was not on the menu. Great vibe to the restaurant which was buzzing with all the diners eating there. Can’t recommend this place enough!!! Go there you won’t be disappointed!

Not possible to have a better meal than the one we had this evening at The Ordinary! My wife had the Softshell Crabs entree. We both decided the dish was “spectacular”.We shared a smoked Tuna Pate with toasted sesame crackers. Incredibly interesting and tasty radishes. Perfect.I had raw SC oysters on the half shell. I had never before had oysters from SC. They were plump and mouth watering! (I almost got another round as dessert). And for my entree I had the Seafood Gumbo. The roux was perfect. The gumbo was chock full of seafood.Complete with outstanding service, an awesome evening!

The Ordinary is my first stop for dinner each and every time I travel to Charleston for work (with the fried oyster sliders being the first thing I order each time). Probably my favorite Oyster bar in the South-Eastern US. They always meet and surpass expectations when it comes to food, drink, and friendly banter w/ the bar staff when I’m dining on my own. Great rotating cocktail menu and an excellent selection of hard to find Rums.

Probably the best restaurant in town. We had oysters mostly, and some other side dishes and everything was delicious. Be ready to spend some money, and it is absolutely worthy. The service is simply perfect, the staff is prepared to guide you over your dinner, wonderful!

Crispy oyster sliders changed my life.

It was a shocking disappointment. The raw food was excellent as a starter and the caviar was satisfactory for the price. When the entrees were brought to the table is where it went sideways. I can’t describe the food as it was almost as though it was plated incorrectly. Establishment looks great but delivered mediocre at best for over $300. I would not recommend.
