Food was high quality and service was friendly. Looked like a lot of locals so that's a good sign. Good alternative to the more tourist restaurants. Prices very reasonable. Shrimp and grits were very good.

My husband got the BBQ jackfruit and loved it. I had the vegetable plate - it was very fresh but salty and a little basic for the price. But we loved the atmosphere, the waitstaff was friendly, and the drinks were excellent.

Cozy restaurant. The Dark and Ferny was a nice surprise and a tasty take on a Dark and Stormy. Ordered from the bar - there did not seem to be table service but that may have been because we sat by the window.
They have vegan options which is good, but the food (including the non vegan food) and service were rather average.

This place is a true GEM! We returned several times during our visit from NY. Jocelyn was our server each time and then we returned one last time for dinner. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was superb and your staff is absolutely wonderful! As New Yorker we are big on our coffee and your coffee was outstanding! Thank you for making our visit one of the best and we will be returning next year!

Second time here second time flawless by the same server Jillian . Their breakfast is superb and last time I had the vegan patty melt and they were just both out of this world great ! Food was fresh, warm and Jillian's service was out of this world! We will return to this gem on king st !
