I'm from out of town, and I decided to try to check out this place and try a drink. Sat down on a bar stool, but in the process my nicotine vape fell out of my sweat shorts pocket. I quickly picked it up from under the stool. When the bartender got near me, I asked if I could have a menu, to which she replied with "No." I was confused and then she asked for me for my ID. As I was pulling my ID out of my wallet she said "I'm not going to serve you" and that I dropped something. (I didn't drop anything else and I had already picked up my vape). I just left after that. Never felt so confused and unwelcome. Not sure if the smell of my hair spray or my behavioral traits from having high functioning autism, but apparently it doesn't matter since jumping to conclusions is the norm.

I was out with my girlfriend and our friends the other evening when we were trying to gain admittance to the bar. She was the only one that was singled out and did not receive such service. I was appalled. I found this to be highly unprofessional and profiling of my girlfriend. It's just sad, very sad. Will not go back.

Can't say enough great things about this place. Cami and crew have been great every time I have come to town. Friendly hospitality. Great selection of beer both draft and bottle/can. The food I have had has been delicious. Mostly on the lighter snack fare but enough to mix in between drinks. Solid mix of arcade games and a pool table. Touch Tunes jukebox. Keeps the mood going. Pro tip leave Wagon Wheel alone and you will be fine.
Love the comedy nights here, always make me smile and the comedians are always changing. It truly is an event to take the Monday blues away. Also..their bartender is incredibly sweet and she makes the absolute best apple cranberry mule ?

A true dive bar in fully gentrified North Charleston. Sorry, "Park Circle."Went to see a comedy show and was not disappointed. Well, I was disappointed in the comedians, but the drinks were huge, strong, and lower priced than what restaurants are selling in downtown Charleston. They had a mule special going with we attended, they were tasty.They put on a lot of comedy shows, I do recommend a visit during one of those events.The crowd was mostly millennials with beards, but we were not the oldest people in attendance. Everyone should feel welcome.

The Sparrow is one of my go-to neighborhood dives. There is always a friendly crowd of locals saddled up to the bar plus they have a pool table and some old video games. I haven't tried the food, but they've upped their game recently and have more offerings than in the past like a quesadilla of the week. Others have said the food is good so I'll give it a try soon. They also have been focusing more on their comedy shows. I think they do open mics on Mondays and sometimes have other comedy nights as well. I wish they were open until 2am because most of the park circle spots close at 12 now, but I usually try to make sure to stop in on the earlier side when I'm making the rounds.

This place is cool. But not when you waste money on music that you paid to listen to that the bartender decided to ‘stop’ bc she & the other non communicating patrons were saying nothing and watching wheel of fortune on mute. :D
