Coziest most lovely wine bar in a former home! More than just a place to grab a drink while waiting for your dinner rez. Worth staying here for dinner. The burger and carbonara were delicious and very affordably priced for downtown! One of my favorite spots.

If you need a wine fix in Charleston, go literally anywhere else. I like Graft! Graft is for the community. This is run by charlatans. We keep it out of the DM’s and put it on blast!

Short answer: just go!!!I have worked in wine industry so I tend to look up wine list and that’s how I found tippling house. They truly offer such an unique curated list that is SO fun. I highly recommend letting them pick the wine for you (just tell them what you like, don’t like, and what food you’re ordering). I came in on a whim and the vibes were so good I came back twice in one weekend with my mom. I also just moved here and visited solo by myself and again, the staff made my experience A+. I can’t recommended them enough!!Also the food is DELIGHTFUL!!And wine can be super expensive, I really appreciate that on top of having cheaper BTG options, they do a weekly special on their $$$$ bottles. I got a glass of a incredibly unique french wine (sells over $200-300 a bottle) for $19. Again, great way to try new things!

Burger Friday at the Tippling House is a must!! These were some of the best burgers we've had in Charleston. Really filling and flavorful! Adorable atmosphere, great spot to meet with a friend. Service was really attentive and I thought it was a good value for the quality and price.

Great cozy place to enjoy some wine and small plates. Everybody was extremely warm and welcoming and not at all pretentious. Nice selection of wines by the glass and staff are very informative.
We went for an after dinner glass. Server (owner?) was helpful with what we wanted to drink. And was spot on for each of us. We didn't try any food, but the menu is interesting. Place is cozy. But watch that step going in! May be a regular stop for us.

Airbnb 7 minutes away, I wanted the closest wine bar in walking distance. Definitely a nice and clean bar with a well versed wine steward. Per wine steward, the owner chooses wine “that are GREAT, but are less known.” Emphasizing on unique hand pick selection. Such a great stop to start my Charleston trip.

Great wine bar and a great atmosphere. Matthew knows is stuff and will lead you in the right direction. Grab a bottle of wine before or after hitting the awesome restaurants in our neighborhood. The bonus is they have great appetizers as well.

Not only was the service unacceptable, the owner rude and unprofessional. Once we made it to Chubby Fish and briefly mentioned the terrible experience, the staff new exactly where we had been without us having to say it.
