I had an amazing experience hosting a baby shower at Surcee’s event space! The venue was absolutely perfect—beautiful, spacious, and set up to create the ideal atmosphere for our celebration. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, providing exceptional service and making the day stress-free.

Everything about this space exceeded our expectations, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! I would highly recommend Surcee’s for anyone looking for the perfect venue for a baby shower or any special event. I will definitely be booking here again in the future!

We recently hosted our couples baby shower at Surcee’s and it was absolutely perfect! The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful brickwork, elegant finishes, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The space includes several well-appointed rooms and a charming walled outdoor patio, offering the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor areas for guests to mingle.

What truly set our experience apart was the incredible staff. They were beyond attentive, ensuring that everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Their professionalism and hospitality made our event feel seamless and stress-free.

We utilized Surcee's for two wine tasting events. Both were for groups of approximately 40 guests and the space was perfect for the combination of classroom style tasting, lunch and breakout tastings. The food, service, location, and venue vibe were all perfect. Highly recommended.

We attended a wedding at Upstairs At Midtown in December of 2019 and it was a lovely event. We'd never been to a more city-like wedding and were so impressed.

If you choose any other place, you will sorely regret it!! The most amazing staff and service we have ever experienced! Sarah and Kathleen were outstanding in our small and intimate wedding! I cannot use enough words to say how we recommend them a thousand percent!

Their hospitality and attention to detail is like no other. Sophie, the event coordinator made planning stress free and easy! Our guests continue to talk about how awesome the food was!

If you are planning a small intimate wedding ceremony & reception in downtown Charleston, Upstairs at Midtown is just your place. While planning our impromptu destination wedding- time allowed for only ONE visit, and one visit was all it took to know it was our spot! From the exceptional customer service and continuous communication with Sofie and her team- it was as if I was there everyday at the venue helping them prepare for our special day. Having to forgo the opportunity of a food tasting, we were a little apprehensive but let me tell you! It was amazing! Our guests ranted and raved about the food all night and for weeks to come. From the hand passed apps, displayed tables, and un-traditional tapas style affair, Upstairs at Midtown gave our guests so much to talk about. Our guests as well as ourselves, were touched at how attentive the staff was. Drinks were always full, and bellies were always fed. They really brought the “family” essence to the evening, and it was truly magical. The newly updated bridal suite on the 3rd floor was not there when we toured the venue and to see it there, day of was awesome! A nice place to slip away and get a moment to breathe, before during and after your night of celebration is simply another detail not missed. We would truly relive the night over again if we could. The ladies at KSHG are phenomenal. I planned a small destination wedding without even seeing the venue in person until the wedding day. The venue at Upstairs at Midtown was gorgeous with incredible staff. I would highly recommend working with King Street Hospitality Group because they go above and beyond to make your wedding day special. My guests continuously raved over the food (special praises for the mini fried chicken waffle appetizer and shrimp+grits). I am grateful I worked with such an accommodating and courteous group!

The staff and venue are incredible. I cannot compliment enough . I highly recommend this venue.

My son's welcome party for his destination wedding, rescheduled from October of 2020, was held last weekend at Upstairs at Midtown. It easily accommodated the 90 or so guests we had at the party. Due to Covid we had to handle virtually all of the process via phone calls and emails. We didn't tour the venue, sample the food, or meet any of the staff in person before the event. A great deal of trust was involved. That trust was not misplaced. The food was delicious and varied over the course of the three hour party, and the servers were always happy to satisfy our guests' requests. You can worry yourself to death about planning and hosting one of these events, but my experience with Upstairs at Midtown proved that's not necessary. Go with Upstairs at Midtown and enjoy the party.

I cannot put into words how incredible our wedding was at Upstairs at Midtown. The King Street Hospitality Group is the best of the best. These ladies are on top of it! I was stress free, everything ran more than smoothly, and the venue looked absolutely beautiful! My guests keep talking about the food as well- just delicious! I will forever rave about Upstairs at Midtown!
