Vespa Pizzeria

The chicken parm sandwich is one of my favorite comfort foods in the area! Unfortunately, tonight was the third time we had to wait nearly thirty minutes for our online takeout order. I have bad back pain, so standing and waiting has been an inconvenience, but maybe the average person doesn’t care. I don’t know.

Whenever we dine in, it’s no problem at all. But the takeout has been consistently about ~30 min later than expected recently.

But again, great staff and atmosphere!

I like the atmosphere of this restaurant especially the outdoor seating under a large tree and the service is always great. It's just that the food is not what is expected each of the five times I've dined in or ordered take out. It may just be that I enjoy a crispier pizza... Ya know the kind that when you fold it the crust cracks and it folds in half. This pizza will just roll up on itself. You can literally roll it into a pinwheel if you wanted to.
The wings were disappointing both times I've ordered them . The first time was better but tonight's order.. I wish I wouldn't have spent the money. They for some reason have the tase of chicken that has been boiled. They're crispy but have an odd flavor. The sauce was very minimal.
I guess what I'm trying to say is; It's with the try but I just don't see myself returning any time soon.

Best Pizza on Daniel Island with two gluten free options and lots of amazing appetizers. Locally owned and operated by long term residents of the island with a great bar and courtyard seating.

I've had the chicken Parmesan sandwich as well as the pizza here and loved both. The servers are very attentive and the proximity to the Credit One Stadium can't be beat. Terrific choice to get dinner at before a concert.

Excellent beet salad and pizza. They were super quick with our food prior to a concert across the street.

Beet salad was excellent. Spaghetti with meatballs, fungi pizza, bolagnese pasta all very good! Staff was friendly. Good pours on the wine also. Recommend!

Great pizza. They have some very interesting specialty pizzas which were really good. Great location on Daniel Island, easy to get in and out of and surrounded by loads of other shops.

Agree with previous reviews servers are great..chicken Parmesan was overcooked
Not a good meal

Service was very friendly & efficient. Calzone special was huge, delicious & cooked to perfection. Great vibe.

We called in a three pizza order. Drove there 25 min later to pick it up and they said the order wasn’t placed. Our phone records show we called them. Orlandos was closed at the time so we decided to try Vespa. Last time for that.
