Friendly staff and tasty food. Enjoyed fried okra and a salmon dinner. Pretty good price and very flavorful. Would definitely recommend.
Be sure and try the fried green tomatoes and the fried okra - the fried okra was some of the best we've had!
We were late to the reservation but the manager welcomed us and sat us. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. We had only been here for brunch a while back but the dinner was awesome.
Good location and customer service. Food was tasty but not hot as desired, particularly the soups. Waitress was nice and accommodating.
We ordered eggs benedict. We told our server and showed her that the yolks were 100% cooked. She said "ok." After waiting 45 minutes for our brunch, my husband just ate it and didn't bother explaining how the eggs should've been prepared. Grits were cold, potatoes, cold. Overall, not the level of dining we think Virginia's would be proud of.
Food was delicious and atmosphere was relaxing. The one fault was the failure to disclose gratuity already added to my bill. I ate at the bar and was shown a screen with no details of my bill. Had I known 19% would have already been added to my tab, I would have declined to tip any further. I have no problem tipping, I have a problem not having the disclosure given that it was already added to my bill. Please be advised and ask to see your entire bill before double tipping!

Wonderful service by Cassandra! Bobby was also very helpful.
Visited Second Sunday on King. They were busy, but the wait wasn't long at all.
Fried ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and perfectly moist. The Carolina BBQ sauce was sweet and spicy, went very well with the ribs.
Fried chicken was fresh and well-seasoned, per usual. (There's a disclaimer about the 18-min cook time on the menu.)
Fried green tomatoes were piping hot in the middle with a crispy crust, served with a side of herby ranch.
The brown gravy on the smothered pork chops tasted like it was sitting too long inside of the metal pot so that entree was replaced with shrimp and grits (not pictured). Staff were very accommodating and understanding.
My main complaint -- it seemed as though their oil wasn't fresh, because everything we ordered fried had a burnt oil taste. Hope that makes sense.
Would have given 3 stars, but the customer service was so great. I'll be back!

Ben was our server & he was cute charming & engaging. Green beans not great. Chicken & collards were to die for. A definite place to go!

Great, little local diner. The menu has a wide variety of options that look appealing. We were immediately seated on a Friday morning for brunch. Our waitress was so friendly. The food was homestyle cooking and everything was good. Would recommend for a convenient stop! The crab cakes Benedict were super good!

Took the family here for brunch after church and enjoyed it. The menu is available all day, so breakfast and lunch options are all on the table. They do have a kids menu with some limited options in small portions.
My wife and I tried two different types of eggs Benedict; she the fried green tomato and I had the crabcake. Both were really good. I wish the potatoes had more to them as they were a bit dry. My daughter loved her burger and my son had the she crab soup and some mac and cheese. Didn't hear any complaints.
They have a bar and there were specials on a board, though the server, who was otherwise excellent, didn't mention them.
Define worth stopping in and trying.

They played good music here. She crab soup was a flavorless pastey rue. Corn bread was way too swwet, closer to cake, and the greenbeans were way overcooked, untrimmed with stems protruding and likely of no remaining nutritional value. Really bad. Just stay away. Ick.
Vegetarian options: Overcooked untrimmed grayish greenbeans.
