The best food we had on our vacation to Charleston. Wait staff was so friendly and accommodating. Nice atmosphere. Good for all meals and occasions. Highly recommend. Ample portions.

Walking down king street & Kris invited us into Virginia’s on king & told us it was delicious - boy oh boy. Was she right. From the entrance we felt southern hospitality & Courtney couldn’t have been sweeter - felt like we were at home eating grandmas cooking. Thank you to this staff for loving your jobs - it showed and made us love you!

Service was excellent. The chicken and waffles were outstanding. I've always enjoyed their fried chicken. It's great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I, also, think eating here you get good value for your money, which is not the case in many Charleston restaurants.
Cobb salad was great. Fried green tomatoes were good. The angel hair pasta was lacking in flavor and bland.
We loved the food and our server Sara was amazing. It was well priced and the portions were huge. Highly recommend
The issue we had was with the server. This is one of the only reviews of hundreds of Open Table reservations. The server was extremely rude. I'd avoid this place. Sometimes, the service can make or break your dining experience.
Outstanding food and service!

The food was good to very good with large portions. The service was a bit slow. The pimento spread wasn't the greatest and one member of our party had under cooked/rubbery chicken on her salad. We did like the location.
This was a perfect meal with perfect service. Warm, welcoming, casual at home southern meal.

Food very good, service slow.
Unfortunately, no special coffees available, not even a coffee late... for me strange for a breakfast location.

We’re here on vacation and stopped to eat after a long day shopping! We were greeted by Christina as soon as we walked in. She is the absolute sweetest, most friendly person I have ever met. I complimented her tomato bandana (and learned it was actually Dukes Mayo merch!) and she went to the back and came back with a bandana, pens, and stickers for us. She was just an absolute gem. Tommy was our waiter, he was so great and fun to talk to. We got deviled eggs for an app and he recommended bacon with it (which was sooo good). He was such a pleasure to meet. Aside from the wonderful people working, the wings were great (Tommy recommended extra crispy-amazing), the Mac was great, and the cinnamon roll with melted butter on top was so soft and sweet and awesome. Just an overall great experience here, we’re so glad we stopped in.

Virginia’s on King is hands down one of my favorite spots in Charleston! The food was incredible. Easily the best grits I’ve had in my life, perfectly creamy and flavorful. The bacon was thick and crispy, the sausage had great seasoning, and the omelets were cooked to perfection. On top of that, the hospitality was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. It’s a cozy spot with a relaxed, Southern ambiance that makes you feel right at home. If you're in Charleston and want a true taste of Southern comfort, Virginia’s is a must-visit!

Went for a late lunch and tried a few things to taste test. Some were great and a couple would fall on the maybe list. Overall will definitely be back to try more so it was a great choice!
