I had an excellent, lowcountry lunch at Virginia’s on King on a Sunday. We weren’t that hungry, so we just got a bowl of she crab soup, the fried green tomatoes, and the slider sampler to share. The soup came out room temperature at first, but once it came back heated, it was delicious. I was even more of a fan of the crispy fried green tomatoes that didn’t get lost in the breading. The crab cake stood out among the 3 sliders, the fried chicken one being kind of meh. I would come back and try more items as well!

Slow service. Did not receive what I ordered. Ordered a breakfast biscuit sandwich with fried chicken, scrambled eggs, and Swiss cheese. Received a plate with scrambled eggs, fried chicken and a side biscuit with jelly. Server took plate back to the kitchen and about 10 minutes later returned with the SAME food plopped on a now cold, grilled biscuit in a bowl. Not even close to a sandwich presentation. Biscuit was hard and cold, eggs were cold and rubbery with a slice of melted cheese over the top, and fried chicken was cold and tasted like it was frozen and reheated too many times. Rather than just remaking what I ordered, they felt it was acceptable to serve that. It did get taken off the bill. However, the food that was supposed to be a sandwich that was instead thrown into a bowl should NEVER have left the kitchen. LAZY and CHEAP to reserve that mess. Too many great southern restaurants in Charleston to waste time and money here. Extremely disappointed!

Service and food were perfect. Virginia's has become our "go to" place when downtown. Benjamin was really enjoyable as our waiter. Friendly, efficient and great sense of humor. We'll be back.

The Great American Burger is to die for! So much flavor especially with the bacon added. The Chocolate Cake for dessert was such an amazing pick! Freshly cut strawberries and the soft chocolate is such a great mix. I had an amazing time by myself here and loved the atmosphere Virginia's had to offer, highly recommend!

Virginia's on King is an absolutely adorable restaurant, the service was timely however a little unprofessional. The toasted marshmallow old fashioned was amazing and would go back just for that. The fried green tomatoes were some of the best I have had. The entree was okay. Overall I would return but would order something other than the slider trio.
