Everything was amazing from start to finish. The food, the drinks, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch. Emily and her crew were impeccable, experienced, and gracious. We will definitely be back.

Great spot off the beaten path. Tasting menu was right on with excellent upgrade options. Swanky feel in marble bar.

Terribly disappointed with their manager, We had a reservation this evening for dinner. My boyfriend came down with Covid so I had to unexpectedly cancel, we don’t live in Charleston so I asked for $100 cancellation fee to be revered and she refused and said come on over with Covid! That’s beyond me!
Absolute perfection ?

I reserved the chefs table for a 20th year reunion with college friends. Very responsive, took allergens seriously, and what a perfect setting with a view. The chef came through each course to walk us through his vision and wow wow wow was the food spectacular. The service we received was also top notch down to every course every played meal. The only comment I would leave is just to ensure turn around time on drink orders would come a little faster. Fantastic and I cannot wait to go back!

This place is the real deal. Deserve all the hype they have been getting. The tasting menu was a symphony of flavors that was coursed with exceptional timing. Be sure to wait for your menu art to appear projected on the wall at one point during the night.

Had the most wonderful dinner last night! Service was outstanding, drinks both N.A. and cocktails/wine were fabulous. One of our favorite dinners! I especially love not having to make decisions and rather having a lovely curated meal that is both creative and delicious.

Was turned away at the door because of Alexis's poor customer service.

This is a solid choice for a tasting menu experience (with some caveats). First, the space is incredible. Its tucked back in an events venue. Right when you walk in, you feel like you have found a secret gem.
The food is exploding with unique flavors. Everything they served is prepared to an incredibly high degree of flavor and quality. If you consider yourself a foodie in Charleston, this is definitely a must to cross off the list.
For some negatives -
Small staff and felt rushed - they even direct quote “rapid fire the first few tastings”. That sounds fun but we had our raw oysters and crudo / sashimi sitting on the table for a while and we didn’t even have our drinks yet! The server had to come ask us what was wrong with our food to which we replied “nothing, but we would like some drinks first before we proceed with the meal please!” Wild Common SLOW DOWN and help your guests get settled.
Another reason we could not get settled was my much older mother and wife are not comfortable using chop sticks which is all they provided on the table for the crudo in round one. We had to stop and ask the waiter for forks to begin. A bit of a rough start, went smoother afterwords.
My second grip is that the entire menu was seafood, including what i would call sushi (the crudo was more like sashimi). I love seafood and sushi. My wife does not. She struggled with this meal. For a “Tasting” menu it’s a bit One Dimensional. There should be a wider variety of nibbles across food types, meats, and pastas. Everything that arrived was basically some form of fish/shellfish/lobster. Again, incredible flavor. but for those who don’t love seafood to the maximum, this was a difficult dinner. We don’t expect that when coming to a Tasting Menu!
Other than those things - the quality of the cooking and flavors of the food are 10/10. For that reason i give 4 stars. We just hit tasting menu at Sorelle, that is 5 stars and they drop the mic. Wild common, take notes!
Vegetarian options: Not much say because its a tasting menu, most had fish/meat
Parking: Street parking
Kid-friendliness: Do not recommend, small elegant space, no kid menu, this food is extremely complex and “high end” i cant see many young children finding it appealing unless the kids have formed an above average palate.

Wild Common was hands down one of the best overall dining experiences my husband & I have ever had. The building is beautiful & service was excellent from the moment we walked through the doors. Although service & atmosphere were great, the real highlight was the food. The 3 amuse bouche courses were incredible. It was absolutely the best rendition on an oyster I have ever had. The hamachi was phenomenal & the egg soufflé? was unbelievable. Every course continued to blow us away, (the caviar eggs Benedict was worth the upcharge!) & was rounded out perfectly with what I could only describe as a delicious elevated ice cream sandwich. It was a tasting menu that was completely satisfying & didn’t leave us hungry (as many tasting menus tend to do) we will absolutely be back & recommend to anyone visiting Charleston!

What a great place! Ambiance, waiters, waitresses everyone was very pleasant & knowledgeable , food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Maybe the best restaurant meal I’ve ever had. Our waiter Chris was fantastic. Paul, the chef de cuisine brought out several dishes and explained each of them to us. We had the tasting menu and ended up having to bring some of the food home as there was too much to finish.
This is a great place to share a phenomenal meal!
Everything was top-notch from the time we walked in the door.

Food was excellent but the service was a bit pushy. Lack of flexibility for two children in the group was disappointing ( that is, they were given no option other than the tasting menu).

After dining all over DC and New York, I can honestly say this was one of the best meals we have had. The menu was artfully, thoughtfully curated. Everything 100% in season, huge emphasis on local sourcing. Beautiful, unexpected ambiance. And awesome, vibey service from start to finish. Food 10/10. We will be returning. I hope Michelin is paying attention to this one.
