WOW! Can’t say enough about this restaurant. Tasting menu with wine pairing was incredible. I often wake up just wishing I lived closer the Charleston. Best meal I’ve ever had. Loved watching the chefs prepare everything from our seats. Really really really awesome restaurant.

Wild Common is truly in a league of its own. My wife and I spent four days in Charleston consuming everything it had to offer. Wild Common stood alone at the top of every experience we had. The food was better than other experiences we had, even at a lower price point, so the value alone won us. In addition, the attention to detail, the service, and the atmosphere truly solidified this as our top (ever) dining experience to date. Even with everything Charleston has to offer from a dining perspective, this is one we will be coming back to, if our feet ever land again in Charleston!

We had the most amazing night celebrating our 10th anniversary. The entire team went above and beyond and we left feeling so filled with joy—and OUTSTANDING food. Flavors that we never will forget and memories for a lifetime. WC team, thank you for making our first night in Charleston one we will never forget.

We celebrated our 33rd anniversary at Wild Common and it was superb!! We have eaten in the Eiffel Tower and the oldest restaurant in the world, but can honestly say we had the best meal of our lives at Wild Common. Every course was a burst of flavors ending with earthiness. All of the staff were professional, knowledgeable and passionate about the food and wine. Chef Orlando was so personable and kind and the pastry chef's dessert creation was out of this world. We wish everyone could experience such a gourmet taste fest.

Wild Common in Charleston absolutely lived up to the hype — one of the best tasting experiences I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional from start to finish: warm, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable without ever feeling pretentious. Every course was a perfect balance of creativity and flavor, and the pacing was flawless.

I went to Wild Common this evening and it was an amazing experience.
All of the staff were attentive. Our server, Christina, was fabulous it was for my birthday and the whole staff knew about it. I was presented with a card and special take home treat. Outstanding attention to detail.
The food was sublime. The staff was great. Highly recommend.
Thank you Wild Common.

My girlfriend and I decided to try this place on our recent visit to Charleston for my birthday. We did the whole chefs tasting menu and were not impressed. The Maine lobster chawanmushi was terrible! It lacked acidity, which left it really unbalanced. The oysters weren't good either. The scallops and sourdough were alright. We tried both the NY strip and Australian wagyu and they were horrible. The accoutremants they served with the steak did not make sense, nor did the flavors come together. Furthermore, I paid a $65 uncharge for the wagyu and it had a big piece of grizzle on it. If I spend $400+ on a dinner for 2, it should be perfect. It was far from. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to Wild Common.

Wild common was a culinary experience! The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is just breathtaking. One of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been in. The staff was impeccable and strives to be the best and it showed! The chef tasting was lovely & divine to say the least. Definitely will return. If your a true foodie you must go!

The food is truly unique and impressive, only surpassed by the fact that the entire team is made up of passionate people who clearly love what they do.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!! The food is phenomenal and paired with a fantastic selection of wine. Each dish and corresponding wine pairing is explained and all of our questions were answered expertly with care and patience! Not only was dining here a delight, the staff saved the day when one of my shoes unexpectedly decided to self-destruct as we were leaving. The staff provided the best care and service by improvising a solution to my broken shoe on the spot and even helping me fix it before we left the restaurant! Thanks to their efforts we were able to enjoy the rest of my Dad’s birthday celebration without a worry in the world! Thank you to everyone who helped us this weekend!! Everything about this restaurant is a 10/10 and I’d recommend anyone traveling to or living in Charleston to check it out :)

Wow. Wild Common was an incredible experience. This is one of those places that, in my opinion, stands a level above the rest at this price point, and even above most at higher price points—where passion and attention to detail are palpable and can be readily observed from the chef’s table as they delicately finish every plating. I left feeling full, satisfied, and like the experience was an incredible value, which is not all that common in “high-end” dining for me.

The experience felt personally catered, as the service was very friendly and made an effort to connect while not being overbearing. Each dish was described in detail as it was served. Chef Orlando even brought a few of the dishes out himself which felt like such a privilege! Every dish felt perfectly balanced in flavor, umami, richness, and sweetness. It’s obvious that Orlando is a master at his craft. Get reservations ASAP and sit at the Chef's table!

Really, every course stood out in its own way, but the simplicity and perfection of the Charleston rice sourdough with house-cultured nutritional yeast butter, served as its own course, blew me away. I love how Chef really desired to showcase such a simple and often overlooked dish. The Maine lobster chawanmushi, dry-aged New York strip, and brioche doughnut also left me floored. That’s not to say the rest of the courses were any less fantastic. I did not drink, so I cannot comment on the cocktails, though they sounded incredible! I did have an N/A Garden Tonic which was fantastic!

The atmosphere was intimate and the space is gorgeous, while at the same time it did not feel overly fancy or pretentious.

Keep up the incredible work, Orlando, Paul, and the rest of the amazing Wild Common team—your craft truly brings people like me joy; and it’s a privilege to have an opportunity to share in your incredible food culture. I wish you the greatest success!

Simply amazing. Sat at the chefs counter . Atmosphere was great and service was friendly and genuine .

All staff members were well versed on the menu.

The guy with the great hair (John?) was running food and even asked how we were enjoying our wine (by name). Not sure how he even knew what we were drinking. That was a great touch.

Each course was delicious. The scallop being my absolute favorite .

Price
Paid $85 a person for tasting menu. Paid an extra $65 to upgrade one course to
Wagyu .
Cocktails were about $20 a piece and delicious .

Everything felt more than appropriately priced. Chef came by and personally thanked us for our patronage .

Really happy with everything . Thank you for a truly special evening

Just stop what you're currently doing and make a reservation for this place. The tasting menu at Wild Common is the best meal I've enjoyed in Charleston in 5 years of living here. I have dined at many restaurants in Downtown (including the very expensive ones) and they all pale in comparison to Wild Common. The tasting menu was constructed with so many flavors from different cuisines. It's as if the chef took the very best tastes and melded them. Each dish was fun! For us, the real winners were the yellowfin tuna and the chanterelle/shiitake pasta.
Furthermore, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The chefs, Orlando & John, took time to speak to us and engage in friendly conversation. Our bartender/server was excellent and full of recommendations. It truly felt like a special night out in a place with people that are good at what they do. I am fully expecting this place to have a Michelin star when they finally make it to Charleston.

My girlfriend and I have both lived in Charleston for about 5 years. This is the best dining experience we have had here. The food was outstanding. The service was friendly and spot-on. They even rotated who brought us our dishes so we had the opportunity to chat with some of the chefs! This is a MUST if you are in the area.
