After reading the reviews I had high expectations food was very bland to me. I thought it would be seasoned better I had fried chicken Mac and cheese and cabbage it was very school lunch cafeteria style

Clean little joint with authentic Southern dishes. Fried chicken like you WISH your grandma made. Inexpensive and filling. You should visit, because there are only a handful of places like this left in the United States. Everyone is made to feel welcome. But it's a no-nonsense kind of restaurant.
The food is amazing. It was one of the best southern meals I've ever eaten.

This place is nothing fancy, but it's clean and the food is delish. Comfort soul food at its best. I had a fried drumstick, mac and cheese (omg - so good) , a veggie, a biscuit and a glass of tea. Nothing is overly salted. I will go back.
