Exactly what Charleston’s been missing. Creative menu- did someone say Burrata? I have tried most things on the menu and truly loved it all, although the Bass is still my #1. So fresh, tender, just melts in your mouth. So much flavor in every bite. Cocktails are innovative and right on point. And don’t sleep on the desserts- Midnight Snack with Fruity Pebbles.. trust me.. 🤤
Terrific dinner experience. We sat at the bar and Laura took our order for food and drinks. She is a professional, friendly, knowledgeable about the food, drinks, history of the restaurant. We commented on the excellent quality of the food and drinks. She is very much a people person and fun to talk to. We told her we are from Hawaii and eat fish daily and also clean and scale all the fish we catch.
Dietary restrictions: Laura asked if any of us had allergies.
Parking: Classy ambience, emaculate, and though filled with patrons, quiet enough to talk to each other at normal conversation levels.

Incredible place for an anniversary dinner. The service from Laura was top notch! The front of the house worked as a team. All of Laura's recommendations were on point. The owner stopped by to check in on us. The food was out of this world. We enjoyed the ambiance so much we ended up grabbing an additional round after we closed out. I would recommend reserving a bar high top table as there was an insane amount of children screaming in the dining room. Not sure who has the money to take numerous children to a 5 star restaurant but it was what it was. Just the times I guess. This was the best date night we have had in Charleston and I highly recommend it.

We had a delish dinner experience at XO Brasserie! This asian resto looks very chic inside and not your typical asian place decor.
We had a knowledgeable server, Tom, and very attentive to our table!
His drinks recommendation for me was very helpful and his meal recommendation was awesome too!
We started our dinner with hamachi crudo and in house pot stickers most ordered appetizer here, and I can say that they were so good! The flavor was party in my mouth!
We ordered mapo tofu and I loved the sauce that contains mince pork, sichuan chili oil, sesame, and scallions. It has good flavor and kick to it and I can eat this meal all day! Pair it with white rice and you are good to go! Hands down the best mapo tofu and so different with your regular mapo tofu!
My husband ordered XO Lobster and the they already took the meat out, fried breaded the meat and it came with sauteed mustard greens and xo sauce! So so good!
We will be coming back to this place!!!

New chef, new unwanted tweaks to a hugely popular menu. Marginal food came out of kitchen at tortoise pace. Total disconnect and disappointing. Can only hope this was an aberration.

I celebrated my birthday here, and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just perfect. Charleston truly needed a gem like this for a while! The owner was super friendly, and our waiter Sean was just as wonderful. I had such a great experience!

First time visiting and this place exceeded all expectations. Walking in there is a great vibe, and friendly staff once you open the door. Nicole at the bar took great care of us with both food and beverage. The food is unreal - go with 4 or 5 people and order a lot of things and share them..... everything is done incredibly well. Can't wait to come back!

Lived in Charleston for the last 8 years. Been to a lot of exceptional restaurants in the area. This place is my new favorite. Try the Chilean sea bass if they have it.

Love this new addition to Charleston! Hands down the best Chinese fusion place in town! Heck, best new restaurant in town! We loved the burrata, sea bass, and noodles! Can’t wait to come back to try everything else! The service was phenomenal, too! Thanks, Tom!
Kid-friendliness: They were very accommodating and understood the importance of getting food out fast for a hangry toddler

Food was so good, the service was amazing. The whole vibe was great, low lighting, and really good music. The food really blew me out of the water, honestly. Usually when I eat Chinese food, I feel miserable afterward, but this was quality. Definitely will return.

Food was good but server had a bit of an attitude. Maybe having a bad day? Not sure that we will return.
Parking: They validate 2 hours of parking in nearby garage, but you won't be out of there in 2 hours. Be prepared to pay for at least one more hour.

The family style dining makes it a great way to entertain whether the in laws are in town or a double date. Getting to share and try so many foods creates positive conversation. Service is always friendly and professional. Music is energetic and trendy. Layout is playful, inventive and all out carefully curated. The mural by the bar is great for pictures. Ambience has good vibes all around especially when the restaurant fills to capacity and it will. Definitely book ahead of time, online. Reservation of six or more people will get you a large round table with a lazy Susan so you can spin the food to one another. Always order too much because you will have great left overs. The crudo changes often which is cool for regulars. Chinese Awakening and Paper Lantern cocktails are fantastic. I order different starters depending how I’m feeling but always Xo wontons with chili soy, pot stickers with the ginger tea soy and crab Rangoons with blue crab, provolone and ricotta. Mains, I like the savory steak chow fun. XO Lobster, the nice presentation with the full body. The taste of the meat itself after being flash fried then finished in the wok, plus the flavorful Xo spicy seafood sauce and sautéed greens to go with it. Miso marinated Seabass, crispy Mala Chicken and garlic green beans are always a must. If the owners not stuck in the kitchen cooking the very food you ate, he will check to see how your meal was. Best new restaurant in Charleston. Order the midnight snack for dessert, go to the bathroom to see the wall paper, get the full experience and take pictures.
Parking: The host stand will validate parking up to 2 hours.
