Zavarella’s Pizza & The Veranda @ Zavs

Such a shock and shame to see this amazing place go out of business :-(
The food was great and the staff was super friendly.
If they could have only hung on a little longer.
The explosion of houses and apartment complexes on Cements Ferry means that in the next several months, the number of customers will also explode, to where this place could have stayed in business in perpetuity.
I wish the owner and staff the best of luck, and hopefully somehow they can secure a loan with a local bank loan officer who fully recognizes this amazing potential - the re-open!!!

Please know if you support the Veranda live music events there are surrounding homes with families and young children that have repeatedly asked the owner to address the excessive noise level caused by the bands. We can hear the music inside our homes and in our back yards. It has been going on for months. The music goes on for 9 plus hours on some weekends. If you enjoy peace and quiet in your own home please don't support the outdoor music because it's impossible for surrounding home owners to enjoy peace and quiet in their own homes. Enjoy the food, order pizza (I have no idea if the pizza is good) but please don't support the music.

I love the food I was there about a week ago and got the steak calzone and aww man it was great with a fresh side salad. I will be back soon..

Delicious pizza, delicious sandwiches, and a very personable and friendly staff. Not to mention one of the coolest outdoor seating areas on DI. Definitely coming back to try some other items.

I’m from a Chicago & there are not many good pizza places in Charleston. Zavarella’s is awesome! Homemade, family traditional Italian food! I recommend them! Try it!

Fist time ordering and best pizza I have had in a very long time. Sauce is perfect and crust has just the right amount of crunch. Chicken parm sandwich had tender and delicious chicken. 6 stars if it was possible.

We decided to stop because the pizza is square, like me! The pizza was amazing. We had the goat cheese. Sauce is bright and flavorful, crust is crunchy and thin, the provolone was smoky and perfect.I didn't realize kitchen closed at 9, and wanted to order the brisket sliders for mom at home. Nick, the owner, had them whip up an order for me. Praise be! Blessings on his house.The brisket. Y'all. Smack my mama and charge me twice. Recco heartily.And go sit out back. It's very lovely.
