We are new to the area and found these guys by chance. Food is always EXCELLENT! service is impeccable. Portions are huge. Every time we have the fried shrimp we have to take some home, and I can EAT. I am always leary of burgers out. these are huge and flavourful. quickly becoming our to go place.

Super tasty food and a great place! We got the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer, the steak and the shrimp Po-Boy (blackened), and it was all amazing!

Went on Saturday, Oct 26th, 2024. Pretty busy, sat at the bar. Bartender was a little slow, but very nice. I ordered around 6:45, very basic, a plain burger, should be quick.after around 45 minutes there was nothing, I finally stopped the bartender and asked if the kitchen had forgotten about me. She said no, just very busy, the chef is off tonight (a Saturday) and the cook is not as fast. Shortly afterwards I started hearing people all around the restaurant complaining. One table had said they had been there over an hour and ordered steaks, again very basic, not complicated, should be pretty quick. After several minutes of no help, no answers, no solutions, they got up and left. Slowly the people around me at the bar started to get their food, and everyone of those orders, went back to kitchen because they were wrong. Including a crab cake appetizer that actually went back twice. How can you mess that up twice?

After 1 hour 20 minutes, my burger arrived…. But it was a cheeseburger, again I orderd a hamburger with no cheese, because I have a little allergy to cheese…. She asked how it looked, I said wrong, and after she stared at me for several minutes, I had to tell her about the cheese. She went to grab it, and I said no way. I could not be there all night. She explained, and explained it wasn’t her fault, I assured her that I knew that…. I scraped that crap off the best I could and ate around it. This is also one of the nicer restaurants in Chraw, how do you serve frozen waffle fries with a prime burger?

The odds of me going back are slim to none. Even though I am in town and just around the corner from the restaurant….

The reviews are true.

We loved the food. My wife said this was the best shrimp and grits she's had in a long time.

The fried green tomatoes were awesome!

My steak was cooked perfectly.

I recommend them highly.

Roughly 3.5 stars, but I rounded up. Mixed bag of experiences. For food, they had a right-sized, abbreviated Bistro-style menu. The portobello fries were outstanding (9/10). Kid's chicken tenders were surprisingly good (8/10). Shrimp and grits were solid (7/10). The side salad was fresh and dressing excellent (8/10). Burger was decent (6/10). The $35 steak was massively overpriced. Cook perfectly to temperature, but the cut of meat was clearly bad (not much fat/beefy flavor) and the crust was average at best (4/10). The waffle fries were crouton-level hard and actually gross (2/10). The broccoli was also undercooked and under-seasoned (2/10).

Service-wise, also a mixed bag. Our server was VERY nice, but kept forgetting things. Also, they totally botched our main entrees (steak and shrimp and grits). There was a solid 30 minutes between the time the kids food was served and when I was finally served the shrimp and grits. I just sat there like a dummy and munched on the kids' leftovers LOL. (4/10) on service due to failing at the most important factor (actually delivering the food).

Very disappointed in this establishment. My boyfriend and I decided to dine in last night and the service we received was below average. After waiting longer than we should have for someone to come to our table, the server who eventually did seemed unenthused and non-welcoming. I'm from out of town, and was looking forward to experiencing Bistro on 2nd Street until last night. Upon entering, I felt like it was 1960 by the stares we received. Yes, it is a predominately white restaurant & no we are not. We took our money to Oslo's, where we were welcomed and our dollar appreciated. Will not be returning nor recommending. Management - do better.

While driving through Cheraw this evening, my husband and I decided to eat dinner at this lovely Bistro! Everything was great! I chose the shrimp and grits entree, which was amazing! The sauce was bold but not too spicy, just plain delicious! My husband chose the filet with fries entree. His filet was perfectly cooked, with one side having a semi-crispy texture to it, which was pretty awesome as well! Lastly, I don't know how they cook the waffle fries, but they were the best fries I've ever eaten!! ? the service was fast and very friendly, again we couldn't have expected anything better! We will definitely dine here again when we're passing through!
