Fatz Cafe

The chetaw sc location had sign up staying under new management a few weeks ago. We placed take out order via phone and picked up 30 minutes later. Take out order was not what I ordered. I ordered the combo calabash chicken and ribs received calabash and shrimp. Normally they show you your food and I failed to check. Food was good and proportions generous. Just check your take out orders prior to departure.

The young man at the take out order was patient, helpful with my selections and courteous. And the food was very good. I especially like the way the soup additional was placed separated to add when I got home. The food stayed warmed until I reached home. I will say that this is an improvement over the old management. The place is even brighter inside. Windows open. The carpet could use some sprucing up. Over all a much better experience. Keep it up.

I've always loved Fatz since my sister took me to the one in upstate SC that was next to a mill stream. When I found out that we were close to one, I chose it for my birthday. We started with the fried pickle skewers. Not bad, but there was definitely salt & pepper going on. I could have done with a bit less of each, but otherwise, those were pretty good. Hubby got the salmon & shrimp over grits with roasted brussel sprouts. Said the flavor was great except, again, a bit too much...read full review
