Hillside was a breath of fresh air! The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! I will definitely return!I had their version of a Club sandwich. It was so juicy and tasty! Really good! And the fries were perfect! Then I had a drink from the Cafe that was very good! It's located in the downtown area of Chester, which must have been something in its day! I hope they will revitalize! It's a beautiful place. Do be prepared for downtown parking!Parking: It's downtown, so be prepared to search for a place!Kid-friendliness: There were kids there. They seemed happy. It seems like there were kid friendly items on the menu, but I didn't pay attention to whether or not there's actually a kids menu.

This is a fabulous spot! We dropped in after hiking in Chester State Park, and everything was amazing! Shanika and everyone was just the nicest.

1st time trying this restaurant/pizzeria. What a pleasant surprise! I had the buffalo chicken dip for my small plate and the cheeseburger pizza for my main course. Took a slice of the peanut butter cheesecake home for a late night snack. Delicious! Will I be back? Absolutely!

Get the burger and onion rings, you won't be disappointed. Best onion rings I've ever had and the burger was very tasty with tons of toppings options. Friendly and.professional staff, nice atmosphere. Peanut butter pie is also super good! Food was fresh too. Highly recommend it! Chester is moving up!

We have heard about Hillside, as we are new to the Chester area. I always read reviews to get the best idea on what to expect, or just what is good and not good. All the ravers about the pizza. My hubby is a pizza guy and was so glad to have a good pizza place. He got the straight up pepperoni cheese pizza and I got the Caesar Salad. The pizza is awful. Like eating salty cardboard. Not a pizza for a person who loves good pizza. We think it's a box one taken out and baked. The salad was very good and I would order another for sure. So 3 stars since it was a No-Go for the pizza.

Seemed to be judged by appearance. Set on table by the fireplace, got looked over by all staff at least once for over 20 minutes, and the place was about 35-40% capacity. Even attempting to flag someone down, didn't work. As I walked out , 2 waits and the host appeared to be satisfied I left. I wish them luck, but I won't try again even if it's the last non-chain restaurant around.

Best artisan pizza I have ever had! This place is definitely a top-notch restaurant! Very reasonably priced, and the service was excellent!

Saturday morning scones and espresso here - delicious and delightful! We were surprised it was so quiet a little before 10a, and so pleased with the naked goods and the really well made espresso drinks we had. Service was very good and the place very cleanWe sat in the sunny window and watched the street slowly come to life. It was lovely. We recommend it and we will be back!!

We took a drive and found ourselves in Chester for lunch. I had a salad with goat cheese - delicious, and my husband had the burger which he really enjoyed. They serve alcohol and have a bar and TV, but it feels like a family friendly restaurant to me. It was comfortable, clean, simple in a good way, and friendly! We found ourselves back in town this morning and wow!- the espresso, coffee, and scones were fantastic! We sat in the sunny window and watched the little main street. Delightful. There is also a little free library rack and board games to enjoy. We will be back!
