Food was amazing and great service. Cheese grits were perfect. Chairs are uncomfortable and one of our tables rocked back and forth if you touched it. Also, too many seats at the table so it felt very crowded with 8 place settings.Vegetarian options: Only one vegetarian entree.

Visited family and the art show in Pendleton, and came here for dinner. We were seated on the non-bar side, and had a very attentive and entertaining waitress (Violetta I think?) Everyone's food was yummy (my brother and sister-in-law split a salad and a burger, which they loved), husband had a burger (loved it), and my Fettuccine Alfredo was probably the best I've ever had. Dessert was tempting but we were stuffed. Will definitely come back when we're in the area again!

Had a great first visit to the Blue Heron the night before Pendleton's weekend spring/ artfest. We were seated promptly. We ordered the calamari which was good and split the surf and turf special. While we were both full it was disappointing that turf consisted of only two overcooked shrimp. The creme brulee was good but only had half a strawberry....literally. Just seemed skimpy where it wasn't neccessary. The waitress was young and butchered opening our bottle of wine that didn't arrive until we were nearly done with our suft and turf. The manager was working harder than the waitstaff which just means staff needs more foh training. All in all it was a pleasant experience and we'd def go again just won't expect anywhere near a fine dine experience.

You have to try the Tiger Paw....just left with 5 orders of them. Food is excellent! Always fresh and consistent. Severs are great and friendly. Always a great special offered. Take care of your servers! They work hard for you here!

The Blue Heron never disappoints. Great menu and the specials are always fantastic! Excellent service every time and the atmosphere is just right. Our favorite waiter is Luke. Make sure to ask for him if you can. He's very attentive, fast and gets it right every time. He has served us several times with large parties and doesn't miss a beat! He's awesome! The Blue Heron (and Luke) is our first choice when we are in Clemson!

I ordered salmon and it came to my table raw. The waitress took it back and the cook just reheated it rather than remaking it. It came back burnt and tasking like the dirty grill it was cooked on. I basically had $23 mashed potatoes for dinner.

Went here for dinner with friends, I ordered mussels to start. Only problem was that apparently the chef didn't know how to cook them. Boy oh boy, told the guy that came to the table how to cook the mussels, we will not be returning to this establishment due to the fact that if you have a chef who doesn't kn9w how to cook mussels, find one who knows how to cook what you're serving.
