Angell Bros. 1801 Grille

We had a reservation, but arrived an hour early. That wasn't an issue for the staff, we were seated promptly. Our Waiter, Liam was courteous and professional. Everything was great, the only one downside was our entrees were served just after we received our salad, so the timing was a bit off, but not huge. Liam apologized for that, so its all good. Overall, great experience and we will be returning!

Great waiter. Food was very good. Took three people to figure out where to seat us for some reason and took them a bit to get rolling, but once they did everything was really nice. Great recommendations food and drinks.

The food and service was amazing. I enjoyed everything but being asked to immediately leave after paying due to another reservation. I would have understood if the restaurant was full and they needed our table to sit others. The restaurant was almost empty and there were many tables others could have sat. I thought that was very rude and unprofessional.

We had a reservation at 1801, but we were able to be seated a little earlier. All staff members were very friendly. Our waitress Kylie was a delight and very attentive. The food was superb...3 different entrées....sirloin, babyback ribs, fried shrimp and flounder. There were no complaints! We had been there before, and we'll definitely go back!

It took almost 15 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order. The excuse was someone left but there were only 4 tables occupied so it wasn't really that busy. Our server came by occasionally and we asked for go boxes and a bag twice and never got a bag. The food was excellent and served 2 minutes after the salad. I'd rather finish my salad before the main course. I would return again just for the food.

Great proximity to Colonial Life Arena if you are going to an event there. Reservations is the best route. We had reservations at 5:45 to make a 7:00 show. We were seated immediately but it was understandibly crowded. The server was polite, informative, and personable but seemed to be stretched too thin. Drink glasses ran empty and the attentiveness was spaced way too far apart to have a smooth dining experience. I ordered the fried shrimp and my girlfriend ordered the steak and fried shrimp. Both our shrimp portions were delicious and plentiful. The steak however lacked something else to be desired. It was bland in flavor, stringy and tough. She couldn't eat it nor could I. That was disappointing. The bill was commensurate with the meal, not over priced but rather in line with what we experienced. The ambiance was as expected and was pleasant, nice. Before we had got there, I had expected it to have been a little nicer than what it was but the bill fit the experience, so I was OK with that. Other than the steak and the server being stretched too thin, it was a good experience and I would eat there again the next time I go to the arena for a show.

They do a great job, it was a very busy night due to the Hootie concert. The food was fresh and the service was great. The only thing that was odd was the smell of bleach . I suggest cleaning the tables with a table top sanitizer instead of bleach. The smell was distracting.

Reservation for 6 people. Squeezed us in at a 5-top. Restaurant was hot, service was slow, and beverages took for ever. Reservation at 5:15...finally got check at 6:55 and all we ordered was soup, salad, nachos, and wings.

We had a nice dinner experience with Angell Bros. 1801 Grille before a concert. It was understandably crowded and loud. The food was good as was the service. Prices were reasonable. The firecracker shrimp appetizer was excellent with a generous portion of shrimp. The steak was good as was the fried shrimp.

Our dinner was for the most part good. The salads and pizza menues need to add more fresh vegetable ingrediants. The salads are only lettuce and tomato and the pizza ingrediants are limited. The pimento cheese is delicious. Service was good for a busy night.

We new when we came just before the Hootie and the Blowfish concert that the restaurant would be packed and likely service would not be as good as on less busy nights. We were OK with that. I've visited here under these circumstances before. Slow service, super busy kitchen; but all manageable if you expect that. And the food is usually pretty good. We arrived for a 5:15 reservation (7pm show) and were seated quickly. Ordered drinks, very slow but as expected. Our waiter, Derrick, yes really, was new but trying hard. Arrival of our food was OK and as ordered but one in our party of 4 did not get his order until 30 minutes after the rest of us had been served. No explanation, no eye contact despite our repeated attempts to get someone to help. One of our party finally went to the expedite station, no help there. We had now been seated for over an hour. The order was for chicken breast and collard greens, so not a complicated order. Our last meal was finally delivered almost half an hour after the others. The meal was comped, his drink was not; and still no explanation or apology. Just a nightmare of an experience. Do better!!

Excellent dining experience!!! Food, drinks, service was great, Darius was an excellent server! 1801 Grill is well managed and operated with a family atmosphere! Another great family restaurant under the Angell Brother's Brand! Highly recommended!

Megan, our server was great!! A pro... Meat, however, was dry and chewy for both of us....I expected mine to be as I ordred an end cut, but it was full of fat...1/3 cut off. My wife's petite filet was the same and cooked medium...she did not finsih it. But for a pre concert venue its perfect......

Every since I learned about this place , I been coming back. They service good portion of too.

Absolutely love this place!!! The food and service is amazing!!! We went for the first time two nights before and had an amazing experience!!! We had Kylie as our server the first night and she was friendly, efficient, and unflappable, even though the restaurant was super busy!!! Last night we went back and had Hannah for our server- she was also incredible- so sweet and friendly and efficient and made it such a lonely experience!!!
