Nachos are very very good.
The tacos are meh.
Some are okay, by the time we got them they were fairly cold. Service took quite a while. This seems like a place to go to drink margaritas and eat nachos, not a place of you want good food.

Arroyo’s Taco’s and Tequila offers an exceptional combination of delicious food, a fantastic drink selection, and a casual atmosphere. It is the perfect place to indulge in mouthwatering tacos and sip on one of their many crafted margaritas. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. My friends and I can’t wait to return.

Finally some Mexican food in Five Points! Perfect atmosphere for what Five Points is typically catered to— students— therefore the perfect place for a quick yummy bite to eat and delicious drinks.
Try the chile relleno and the mezcalita!

I’ve been to Arroyo twice now. The first time we ordered queso app and I got 2 tacos. I enjoyed them and wanted to go back and try different things. Went back last night with a different friend and ordered the trio- all 3 dips were great. I wanted to try the enchiladas and rice and beans. The enchiladas were not good at all. The way the sauce and shredded cheese were on top looked like an Annie’s frozen meal that had been thrown in the microwave. I ate 2 bites because I couldn’t get myself to eat any more of it. The rice and beans were good but not warm at all. Taste was fine but both were kinda of hard, making me think they’d been sitting out. We were sat right by the entrance to the kitchen despite there being many empty tables, which was just a bit uncomfortable because all of the wait staff hangs out right next to that table, and I felt like we were being consistently stared at. My friend enjoyed her marg, but said her taco was not good at all and the elote was not as good as she hoped. Moral of the story… maybe go for drinks and apps but skip out on the meal.

Got there near the end of the night, about 8:25, but the bartender Charlie was so friendly and personable. The blood orange marg was sooo good, you can definitely taste the tequila in it. We got the fish taco, which had grilled fish, and the beef barbacoa taco. These tacos were full of flavor and not soggy, whereas some places in five points serve dripping tacos. Also, the hot sauces are homemade and you could tell, they were definitely spicy but not overpowering. Def the most authentic tacos I’ve had in the five points area. Don’t waste your time at publico, just go around the corner to Arroyo
