I went to the BBQ Pitt on today. It was my first time because I heard people talking about it. I ordered the chicken plate with hash and rice and fried okra and skins. The food was nothing to write home about. I did not taste and smoke flavor on the chicken. The sauce was thrown on top of it. I also did not care for the hash; not much flavor. All of their menu prices are unbeatable for a bbq spot. Its great for lunch. Downside is they are only open 12-4. I went here today to see if they were open, and they were. You can smell the smoke when you get out your vehicle 🥰. I ordered the 1/2 pit special rib dinner. It comes with hash, rice, two sides, and a roll. I substituted the hash and rice for mac n cheese. Collards and potato salad for the sides. I didn't get a roll with my order, but I didn't remember...
Food was surprisingly not good. Fries were raw. Bbq chicken was missing bbq flavor. Tasted baked with sauce. Turkey wing was mid. Cabbage and greens were seasoned well. Burger was good.
