I live in Irmo but it's well worth the drive to get to this place. I'm originally from Georgia and I have been here for over 30 years and I love this place. The food is amazing and I have tried quite a few places for barbecue. a little bit of a wait time but I wouldn't want fast food bbq.

This is the worst plate I've ever had from big boys. The plate is sloppy, the food is ice cold!! Why not put the coldslaw on the top of plate? You can tell they don't care about food presentation.The pull pork is cold. I'm very upset about this. Why give me a plate of cold food? I'll stop going to big boys a long time ago. I should have went elsewhere. This is not acceptable! Only reason I went is because I work nearby on Wednesday!! I was robbed.

Love the food the greens can be a little spicy but love it!!!!
I visit Big Boys often. I enjoy the food so much that I wait in the parking lot after church for it to open on Sundays for 30 minutes .My issue with this establishment is that the customer service is lacking. The younger cashier appears to be bothered by the mere fact that customers are in the building. She never smiles & seems quite annoyed when asked simple questions pertaining to the menu. I was also taken aback by the appearance of the macaroni and cheese. It is no longer baked but resembles stovetop Mac & cheese.

. This is really a pickup and go joint. BUT that food hit. The ribs were good the sauce was good.the collards were good Everything hit the spot when it came to the food except the hash...it was drenched in so much sauce you could not taste the rice or hash. We got two desserts and they were delicious. We definitely will be back!! PS DO NOT ASK THEM FOR TURKEY WINGS...cause they ain't got them!!

Big boys was the place to eat when they first opened but have really fallen off. I ate there yesterday ordered the rib and chicken dinner and currently have FOOD POISONING FROM UNCOOKED MEAT. I’m so disappointed I will never eat here again. Check your MEAT! Idc if it’s smoked or not no meat should be undercooked and pink on the inside but looks done on the outside. Now I’ve been in so much pain from eating at this place even went to urgent care. It’s no excuse why a smokehouse should have anything not thoroughly cooked.

Top 3 BBQ spot I’ve been to down here, I love the Ribs and Chicken from here and the mustard based bbq sauce is for a lack of a better word, divine. There’s an aura of family and communalism as soon as you walk in and the service is as elite as their portions and food. It’s wiser to call your order in as they get busy very quickly and if you were to go in to place an order, you might be subject to waiting for a little while. However, it’s still worth it in my opinion and I’m more than willing to wait as all the positives outweigh the minor inconvenience of waiting.
Food was amazing! Always consistent and large portions. Highly recommend it.

This place is great! The food was soooo good, the staff friendly and knowledgeable and the place was clean! We had the brisket sandwich (enough for 2!), ribs ? & we even tried the smoked pigs feet ( )!! Now I’m sitting here at my work computer with the itis!!??. Already planning my next visit!
