Awesome authentic food, big portions, and accommodating hours, folks you’ll feel like you’re home or at your best Jamaican buddies house and their wife is an amazing cook!
All the favorites Calaloo, akee/saltfish, oxtails, and friendly people, and they give a military discount, go treat ya’self!

The food was okay but the portions were extremely small and the price was outrageous for the amount of food that I was given... 20. $2 for curry goat with 4 pieces in it.I was supposed to get plantains.I got 2 slices very small, plenty of rice.It was just ridiculous

The food looked so beautiful until you try eating it. The rice was hard. The oxtail was cold. The only hot thing that was in that platter were the vegetables & thts sad. I had just finished a shift and wanted something good to eat. I heard about Calabash and wanted to check them out. I live pretty close to the restaurant. So, it's not like I brought my food and had to drive far because I didn't. I brought my food, I went straight home to eat and the damn $30 Oxtail platter was cold and not worth $30. The veggies were great and hot 😋. The rice was hard and cold, one of the oxtails was warm one 😡😡😡😡. If you're prices are going to go up so should your temperature on the food you're serving

I searched and found some west Indian food coming straight from the airport. I was starving. The spot has a very authentic vibe with a few Caribbean comfort items for purchase besides the food (hot sauce, biscuits, ackee, etc..)
I tried the stew king fish with peas and rice and the oxtails with white rice. Both dinners came with sweet plantains and steamed veggies. The fish, although very tasty, was cooked a little too hard. I believe it was fresh as the lady told me it would take 20 minutes to cook. The oxtails were tasty but the gravy was very thin, which I'm not used to (Jamaican restaurants in NYC hot different) and there were no butter beans.. Interesting 🤔 because I've never eaten oxtails without rich thick gravy and butter beans. The plantains and peas and rice were delicious 🤤 The veggies were okay but I prefer mine with a little crunch. I would definitely try again, should I visit SC and try another dish. They were very pleasant and welcoming.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I can confidently say this is the best jerk chicken I have ever tasted. From the moment the plate hit the table, the aroma alone was mouthwatering.
Beyond the food, the cleanliness of the establishment is instantly noticeable and genuinely reassuring.

I have ordered several times thinking that maybe things will change. The flavor complex for these dishes are not there. its definitely edible but thats it. The food is very monotone. No depth no flavor. Its quite disappointing. The potential is there I believe.Ackee & Saltfish Stew Chicken this food is too expensive to be like this. However you get a good size portion
Food was really good I got curry goat and jerk chicken.

Everything was delicious. The flavors and the service were outstanding. My husband had the pictured goat curry with cabbage. I ate the Mac and cheese, beans and rice, and plantains.
We will definitely be back!

Calabasas Caribbean Grill brought the island to Columbia. From tender oxtails that fall off the bone to perfectly seasoned red snapper that tastes straight outta Kingston this spot doesn’t miss. Every bite’s got that slow-cooked, soulful flavor that reminds you why Jamaican food is more than a meal it’s a vibe. Easily one of the best Caribbean restaurants in Columbia, hands down.

Food was good. Curry goat was probably the most tender I've ever had. Sorrell was very good as well.

Visiting the area from out of state and had a taste for some good Jamaican food. I ordered the curry goat and oxtail and it came with plantain, rice and peas and cabbage.... 10/10!! The serving size was great for the $ and everything was so flavorful and tender. Even the roti skin I ordered on the side was delicious. I'll keep this place saved for whenever I come back to visit.
