The break options here are very light and refreshing. You get a variety of caffeine free drinks as well. I was surprised to find Hojicha green tea. It's a cozy cafe situated in the same building as Cool Beans.

Seriously delish "ttlt" (tofu blt). (~$8.80). Shares a space with Cool Beans which is upstairs. Awesome menu with tons of vegetarian options. Nice place to relax and chat with some friends. Board games available, cozy chairs, good vibes!

I've enjoyed their homemade donuts in the past, but yesterday was the first time I had lunch at College Grounds. Great that they have vegan offerings. I had the vegan BLAT (tofu bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato). The tofu is thick cut. I'd almost call it vegan pork belly, as it isn't like the other veggie/vegan bacon you buy at the supermarket. Tasty. My wife had the club. Great tea/coffee selection. The breakfast menu looks amazing.

Great local restaurant. Very nice staff and great food.
Absolutely amazing. We had a “sampler” breakfast and tried many items - the bowl with grits, egg, avocado, tomato, and sprouts, a cheese danish, and the “Jumpstarter”. Each were top notch. The grits are the best I’ve ever had and I’m a Southerner from birth. The bacon was fresh, the biscuits were perfect - everything was stellar. I can’t emphasize enough how good the food is...farm-to-table celestial awesomeness.

They were super friendly and their chocolate croissants are delicious!

College Grounds quietly serves the best breakfast in downtown Columbia. While people stand in line for over priced avocado toast at Soda City, you'll find me drinking a iced thai coffee and eating the best grits in Columbia. Enjoy great views of campus while enjoying the chill vibes and excellent service.

Service is good and so is the food. Had the tomato basil with french bread (even though its 90* outside) still enjoyed it very much. Nice mellow place to read as well.

My boyfriend and I have been here several times and always enjoyed it. But recently we have attempted to come on sunday mornings twice and the door was locked and no one to be found after their time of opening at 9 am. Open sign was on but lights off behind counters and nothing set up
