I stumbled upon the charming spot today! It has such a classic ambiance, perfect for any time of day. ☕️ I enjoyed a lovely morning coffee, and I can already imagine returning for a refreshing afternoon beer. This place truly feels like a gem, ideal for savoring delicious food and drinks. It's definitely become one of my favorite spots to unwind and enjoy a good meal and beverage.

Stumbled on this place after not paying attention to Waze and went the wrong way.

Great locals place to go. Coffee and food are amazing. Avocado toast, super fresh and flavorful. Staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Coffee in a mug is the only way to truly appreciate the taste.

Nice looking inside and out, independent coffee shop standard, plenty of parking, friendly staff.
.
Only tried the avocado toast on an everything bagel. Bagel was great, portion of avo was generous, but it better be for over $10 before tax. Unfortunately, it was dominated by large slices of ice cold bland grocery store tomato, and the avocado was cold too (plus all the seasoning went on the tomato which I had to remove, not layered). Would not order this again.

45min wait for a coffee. Their drinks menu is too complicated and has too many ingredients so as soon as there is a few customers they can’t cope and as a result everyone has to wait ages for their drinks.

Fantastic coffee shop, great vibes, and cares about diversity. This could easily be a place to meet friends, do work, or grab a coffee to go.

I came here for the first time today, and first noticed the haiku wall outside! It’s gorgeous! I need to write one before I leave!!

I walk in, and didn’t know what to try on the menu! I asked Liz, the barista on duty, what I should get. She made me a pumpkin spice latte with a different syrup added in. It’s the perfect fall drink.

Liz was so kind and even added a little latte art heart in my cup. Look at it!!! Omg!

5 stars! Will be bringing my husband back! I’m bummed I didn’t find out about this place sooner, as we’re moving soon.

Perfect place for college kids to come hang out and get group work done, or for friends to come chill. Love it!

Curiosity Coffee is one of my all-time favorite coffee shops in Columbia. I love the rotating seasonal drinks, the tasty food offerings, and especially the baked goods! The creativity of some drinks are unlike anything else I've seen which makes Curiosity a top choice for me every time. The bakers are constantly churning out new and inventive treats and so many of my favorites are vegan even though I'm not! The team is always so courteous and quick to help, and it feels like there's always cool events to attend there. I'm constantly recommending this place to anyone I know, and this review was way overdue. All my foodies and coffee lovers, give it a shot and see for yourself!

I've always really liked this place. Really feels independent, comfortable, and a real part of the community.
Also, the pumpkin spice I got today was the best I've ever had. More pumpkin and not as overwhelmingly cinnamon that most corporate places do.

August 2025 - I wanted to add the Scout “Free Coffee for 4,000” event I appreciated at Curiosity.

Feb 2024 - I’m very overdue for sharing 5 stars with Curiosity. Today they were ready at 6am when I needed some muffins and coffees on my way to see friends at Baptist Hospital. Greg and Sandra deserve credit for founding the premiere venue at the forefront of the North Main revitalization.

I stopped by Curiosity Coffee Bar during a road trip, and it ended up being the perfect caffeine break. The coffee was smooth and flavorful just what I needed to get back on the road feeling recharged. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outside, which made it a comfortable spot to pause and take a breather.

Beyond coffee, they had some great snack options and a fun, eclectic vibe. I noticed flyers for community events and live music, which makes me wish I lived a little closer so I could take full advantage. Definitely a place with personality and a strong local feel.

If you’re passing through Columbia and need a cozy spot to grab a drink or hang out for a bit, this one’s worth the detour.

I love this coffee shop for the people, the culture and the nice and friendly baristas, but not necessarily for the coffee. A hot coffee is usually fine here, but many of the lattes are not made super well. They seem to have the same problem with starbucks where their expresso tastes burnt. Their coldbrew also is too sour or sometimes just tastes like today's coffee over ice. Some small improvements in their coffee could make this my go-to coffee place. I was surprised to learn they serve a more high quality brand of coffee than Drip and Indah, so it appears that there is an issue with the either production or storage of the coffee. Not to sound like a nerd lol. I overall love the place, the vibe, and the business, and what they stand for, but it is much too overpriced for their coffee to taste like this. We have an industrial coffee grinder and make cold brew at home and it tastes much better. I think basic education on how to make coffee would improve this place. Again - I love what the business owners are doing here and I think the service provided here is wonderful. I hope this is constructive feedback.

I also love the location in the library and love to see the business partnering with our local library.

However, I would probably be a much more dedicated and loyal customer, as well as spend more money at this facility, if they served better coffee.
