I’m not sure they said a lot of people complain that day cause I had to turn my food back around. They said the cook was new. That food was not right. However, the service the people was great that cook was horrible. Hate to say it sorry.

I previously left a 4.5 review, I had to update with my most recent experience. I had a medical procedure this morning and my husband wanted to take me to breakfast before going home. We couldn't decide where to go but remembered we loved Eggs Up. We initially went to the Forest drive location, but decided we wanted to go to Divine. I ordered the peppermint hot chocolate only to find that they had no peppermint sprinkles. One of the employees advised they had been asking the owner to orders some, but they haven't gotten a response. I switched that for a latte which was horrible. I ordered the melty Cristo with a runny egg. The egg was over cooked, almost fried with no yolk at all. The waiter offered to remake the egg but at this point, I didn't want to wait for another egg after already waiting for my food. The other food would be cold by the time I got it. Very less than stellar experience today. Highly disappointed

1st and last experience. Ordered the breakfast with ham covered in apples, eggs, toast, and potatoes. The ham was dry, apples cool, eggs and potatoes were bland even though it looked like seasoning on the potatoes, toast soaked with butter. Replaced it all with candied pecan pancakes and sausage. The sausage was thin microwaved looking links. The pancakes looked nothing like the pictures, had hard candied pecans, and barely any cream cheese icing with no caramel sauce.
As for service, the waitress was nice and polite, helped as quickly as possible. The one black female who delivered the food looked like she didn't want to be there and her tone of asking how I am sounded like she wanted to kill me for being there, with no wait for reply as she quickly walked away.
Clean restaurant, parking shared with other businesses which wasn't a problem on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

This is a local restaurant that is the best place to eat breakfast. I always have the steak and eggs. The steak is always MR like I like it. The red potatoes have a really good flavor. I love the slice of tomato and garlic bread. Having a mimosa is icing on the cake.

Horrible service experience.
Food was tolerable considering how long it sat under a heat lamp. Wait staff took our order and never saw her again until she delivered the check.
Thanks to waitress at another station who took pity on us to bring silverware, deliver our meal, pay my check. This is my second bad experience. Doubtful FB gets another opportunity with me.

Eggs Up Grill is a great breakfast restaurant experience. Our server Lisa was very friendly and she gave us great service. The food is very good and portions are generous. A very family friendly place. I highly recommend this restaurant. Eggs Up Grill is my family’s favorite breakfast spot in Columbia, South Carolina.

Good breakfast, had the texas omelet. It would have been nice to have the ingredients mixed in with the eggs, but the taste was still there. Had grits for the side, that would be my only complaint, they tasted as if they use no cream in them just water. I can give a recipe for the best grits you will ever have, 1 quart heavy cream, 3 quarts water, 1 lb butter and a quart of grits with a pinch of salt. Bring the cream, water, salt and butter to a boil and stir in the grits and cook until thick, about 15-20 min. Would make a 6th pan of grits, if you want a third pan just do a 3 time batch. Trust me, people will come from all over for your grits if you follow that recipe. They will be creamy and very flavorful.

I’ve eaten at just about every Eggs Up Grill in the area, and the Devine Street location takes the prize for being the cleanest. You can tell the manager runs a tight ship — the place is spotless, the team’s on point, and the food is consistently great.

Now, there is one waitress you might want to steer clear of — she’s the one with red hair. Don’t worry, she’s perfectly nice… to everyone else. Me? She delivers my plate like it’s a court summons and somehow forgets silverware, as if I’m supposed to eat with my hands.

Other than my ongoing one-sided rivalry with the redhead (kidding… kind of), this place is diverse, welcoming, and an easy go-to for breakfast. Just bring your own fork — you know, in case.”
