Stopped by on a whim and was bowled over by the food and the folks working there. I had the fried pork chop, yams, potato salad and Mac n cheese. All of it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The entire staff was friendly and funny. A perfect spot for soul food. Extra credit for some great lemonade in the biggest cup I’ve ever seen. Get some time to go by and get a great meal.

First time visiting on this past 4th of July. I hate it took so long getting here!!! I live in N.C. and there are a lot of soul food restaurants here, but not as flavorful as the Food Gallery! Definitely my go to when I come in town!!!👍🏾👍🏾

The food was great. I cant wait to go back. The building is very homely, so I dont imagine many people eating in, but everyone was nice and inviting. If you want real soul food, then this is most definitely worth a stop in. So glad I finally went.

If you order online I’ll advise you to call ahead to verify they have what is on the menu if they even pick up the phone. I ordered a dessert online and went to pick up my food and there was no dessert in the bag when I got home. I call to tell them and the guy on the phone says with an attitude “You gone have to wait till my sister come back to do the refund” this “YN” didn’t think to take my phone number to give to the lady to call me back to give a refund. The food here is ok but the customer service sucks. Horrible customer service is typical for black owned businesses unfortunately. It baffles me that they don’t have a system to refund money or remove online items that they do not have for the day.

Let me say that was THE BEST FOOD I have had in forever! The Lady was very nice taking my order. I ordered a plate to go and it was made FRESH! But OMG THE FLAVOR WAS SO OUTSTANDING!!!! I was traveling through and looked up restaurants near me and I am So glad I found this hidden GEM IN Columbia. I promise go By and get a plate you will not be disappointed this food is SO GOOD!! I will be going back every time I am in town! YUMMO!!! I would give it 10 stars if I could!! Did I say YUMMO!!

First off I arrived at 10:57 am not all of the workers were at work. So I go to the door and two worker came to the door and told me that they can’t serve me can because all of the employees wasn’t there so I said okay and went and sat in my car. I waited 20 to 25 minutes before I returned to the door for service. So as I go in they are still preparing to open. At this time I’m starting to order my food and of course nothing is together. I can’t order anything fried which fish was my first option because the grease wasn’t on or ready! Nor can I get certain stuff that is serviced on the daily. So I order meatloaf, broccoli casserole, yams, rice and gravy. So the younger lady that is taking my order is playing in her hair so after she takes my order she fixes my food but as I wait I’m fighting flyers and pissed off cause why is she taking order and fixing food. But I’m so over them at this point I’m so ready to leave that I don’t even check my food cause I’m on my 30 minute lunch break. So this is what I get for 15.81 OLD WARM food and half of my money back cause she only gave me 14.00 in return. && Please Tell Me Why This Dry Meatloaf Sitting Directly On Top Of My Rice & Gravy? I don’t recommend food gallery to nobody I give it a 2/10 My FOOD SHOULD’VE BEEN PIPING & FRESH FIRST CUSTOMER OF THE DAY I’M DISAPPOINTED. LIED & SAID EVERYTHING COOKED FRESH DAILY ?

I’m reminded of nearly fifteen years ago, when I stopped in for a visit with one of my great aunts telling me about this place. I remember her saying how good the food was, and especially the yams! We spoke more on the subject, and I told her that I would come back one day to pick her up and we’d go out to eat together and try the food out. Unfortunately, she passed shortly after, so I never got the chance to indulge such a hearty experience with her, however in spirit always! So, I decided after all these years to give them a try even though, I became vegan almost a year ago, but it’s been trying but I had a “cheat” day and gave them a shot! Oxtails/white rice & gravy, broccoli casserole, macaroni and cheese, stewed turkey wing, meatloaf, yams, and cornbread! Haven’t had a great meal like this in quite some time and it was well worth the wait! The staff were very kind, and the atmosphere was very nice! The food however… I’m a decent cook myself, and this was very reminiscent of my own cooking tbh. I was beyond impressed, I will definitely have to pay another visit very soon to try more menu items.

Cashier was not friendly a lil rushy and they had peach cobbler on the menu but when I ordered they said it was gone be ready for a long time ! They opened at 11am I was there ‘about 12:45pm-1:30 ! Was very disappointed because I been wanting cobbler for awhile now other than that I will be back
