Definitely something to experience at least once. Much of the food was exceptional. Some not quite as good. Windows need to be washed to improve the view. Wait staff as attentive and table beautifully set.

Overall it's a fun, unique place to eat. Our biggest complaint would be that the dress code was not at all enforced. People were allowed to dine while wearing sweatpants and hoodies, even though the dress code is business casual.

This is our second year coming to Top of Carolina for Valentine's Day. It seemed like the menu was exactly the same as last year, which we were hoping to have some new options. The appetizer was a tiny lettuce leaf with some vegetables inside of it. The salad course was good. For dinner, both the salmon and the beef were served cool, everything on the plate was almost cold. The highlight of the dinner was the dessert table, which was absolutely amazing!

Dinner at Top of Carolina exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! I recommend an evening reservation in the fall starting at 6pm so you can enjoy the sunset.

Everything I ate was great. Shrimp and grits or some of the best I've ever had. Desserts were very tasty. The macaroni and cheese was to die for and I'm not macaroni and cheese person but I loved it. I don't see how anybody could be disappointed in the food

I love this place! The food is wonderful with so many options. We celebrated my aunt's birthday there and everyone was so pleased with the food, service, and view! The experience is a must!!!

This was an amazing experience and the price was fantastic considering a double cheeseburger meal at Sonic is $15 these days!! Food was so delicious, view was incredible, and the staff was so professional and welcoming.

Top of Carolina did not disappoint! The views of Columbia were so beautiful. The food was delicious as usual and the selection was great for the price. One thing that really sets Top of Carolina apart from some other places is the service. The staff is friendly and so attentive! We'll definitely be back!

Yet again we had the most wonderful Sunday brunch! Every one of the staff at Top of Carolina went out of their way to make us feel wanted & special, even the greeting in the Capstone House foyer was friendly! The food? As usual, it was superb, with everything available from traditional breakfast fare, through cold meats, cheeses & salads to hot lunch items - there is a carvery & even an omelette station. Then we come to the piece de resistance - the dessert table! I'm not sure how the dessert chef manages to come up with so many cake, pastry, hot pudding, cold pudding etc ideas (there must be at least 20 different selections), but she does an absolutely amazing job each week - this week we even had a delicious crême brulée. And, whilst savouring all of this, everybody has an unobstructed view of the city and its surrounding area! Thank you! This is by far not just the best Sunday brunch for a 100 mile radius, it is also the best value Sunday brunch in that radius! We will be back ... soon

I have dietary restrictions. Whenever I asked some questions about ingredients, each of the servers gave different and opposite answers. One says no meet inside of shrimp soup, I (myself) figured out there is and later the other server says it does have. I really don't know how they answer if they have no knowledge!!! Stay away this place unless you are the one eat whatever you find.

We celebrated a 40th anniversary on Sunday, and every one of us loved it. There's a fabulous selection of food to choose from, and the service was very good. We hope to join you again sometime next year.

The day was miserable, it was raining pretty heavily & cold to boot, but, once inside Capstone House, our whole demenour changed. We were met by a cheery hostess at the ground floor entrance, an even cheerier hostess in the restaurant itself ... and the friendly, helpful service continued from there on; our waitress couldn't have been more helpful & accommodating! The food selection was, as usual, varied; for starters, I sampled the breakfast sausages, smoked salmon & capers, antipasto salad & South Carolina potato salad, all of which were delicious. For my main course, I was spoiled for choice, so I pigged out on roast duck with braised red cabbage & roasted rib eye with horseradish, accompanied by asparagus spears & baby carrots ... so delicious, I took a second small helping! I cannot comment on the bouillibaisse or shrimp & grits, the other entrée selections offered that day, but suffice to say, they both looked delicious! Then came the dessert table ... what a wonderful selection! I wanted one of everything, but I fear I would have done a pretty good reenactment of 'The meaning of life' if I had done that, the variety was so impressive! Needless to say, even though the view through the mist & rain wasn't great, the meal & experience itself was, as usual, perfect - there is simply no Sunday brunch within 100 miles that can hold a candle to it, we will be back ... soon!

As with previous visits, from initial greeting downstairs in the foyer, right through to the final presentation of the bill, everything was superb. One thing I did notice on this visit, though, was the background music was not only more in line with a genteel dining experience, it was also much softer ... many thanks!!!

Excellent! Unmatched views. Unique concept. USC students working there were very helpful and genuine. Food was really good and a nice variety. Best Sunday Brunch we have found in Columbia.
