This was my first time visiting this awesome female black own establishment. Delicious food and great staff. This is a hookah lounge but not really smoky at all. The music was loud but that was just me. I had Salmon bites that were moist and delicious with fried okra that was seasoned just right. My friend had the chicken and shrimp bowl with terriaky rice and fried macaroni bites.

Racquel, the owner, was gracious, and accommodating, and an absolute sweetheart! Although the kitchen wasn't due to open for another half hour, she took it upon herself to welcome us, man the kitchen, and provide me, my daughter, and granddaughter a delicious meal of chicken and waffles that were absolutely delicious! I will certainly visit again(and again!) And you should too!

Went many times and had really good bar/food service. Happened to go to this establishment on Wednesday. There was a young woman outside on her phone. She said hello and opened the door for me. I took a booth seat and looked at the menu when after several minutes I realized that she had not come over to ask for my drink order. There may have been 5 people in at the time.I looked up and realized that she had begun a conversation with two men at the bar. Only after the urging of the manager/owner did she come over to ask if I needed anything. After several minutes later, I got my drink which was made incorrectly. I had waited so long for it that I just decided to keep it. The manager refused to give me a small amount of pineapple juice to add to the drink. The waitress who was very young and really bad at what she was doing, said that the owner would have to speak to me about the shot glass size of juice that I had requested. She came with an attitude and we exchanged words. Couldn't figure out why she and I had to discuss the way "I" wanted my drink. She stated that it was an upcharge for a 2 oz pour of pineapple juice. She spoke over me and gave no indication that she was empathetic to my request. She was actually a bit snotty. We left shortly after. What she didn't know, was that my friends and I over time, have spent hundreds of dollars there. The only reason I don't give the place a lower rating is the fact that previous visits and staff were attentive and kind. The cook is amazing and food is really good. Hopefully the owner will shut down the full court press and satisfy her customers. Not sure that I'll go back...

I tried this place out yesterday 2/24/2021 . Waited all day to visit this place due to it opening @ 4pm. I got there 4:15pm the place was not open. We waited at the door: bartender pulled up 5 minutes after that & didn’t greet us just got out her car , walked pass us opened door, we walked in she said we could sit where we liked , we began to sit & someone screamed from the kitchen that they weren’t ready to open so we were asked to leave. Not a great experience

Food was great but service was not up to par. Only one server was on the floor the entire night, serving 3 different tables of 3+ guests. We had to repeat our order three times, waited an hour on our food and the order was still messed up. One person did not receive their food until everyone else at our table was done eating. We went on a Thursday where drink specials were advertised and was told that none of the specials were available. After being at the restaurant for over two hours with minimal service, we received our checks which were rung up incorrectly. Did not enjoy the experience overall.
I was highly impressed with the food. The service was impeccable. The servers were very attentative. This experience was phenomenonal. I highly recommend this place to people who haven't been here. I will be back. Good job staff and management.

I have frequented this establishment a few times now. I am a little disappointed. There was an event that was supposed to take place, and the host did not show up. The Gold Den did not know anything about it, but it is advertised as Business meetings every 1st Sunday. I decided to try the brunch, but the cook could not make omelets. The whole point of brunch is omelets. Also, they do not have the veggie burgers they advertise. Each time I have asked and was told they are not available. Just take them off the menu. There were no clean tables when we entered. We had to wait for one, and when we did sit down, it was not cleaned well. Please remember that these little things matter. I want to support black, but I don't know if I will go back.
