Wasn't very good...Filetofish from McDonald's was a bit better...

It is like an upscaled Captain D's. I ordered the Golden Platter. The shrimp and fries were good. The hushpuppies were a little bland but still good. The flounder had no flavor as it was not seasoned. A little salt and pepper while cooking would have elevated everything on the platter.

I have eaten here before. However it's been awhile. They have a wide selection of seafood. You can get it, fried, broiled, blackened, or grilled. My wife had the jumbo shrimp platter. It was amazing. Unfortunately, I had a large lunch and was not terribly hungry so I decided on the grilled salmon Greek salad. It was delicious as well. I look forward to going back. I want to try the fried catfish. I would highly recommend a visit if you're in the mood for seafood.

I'm from New York City and I've lived a lot of places in the world Columbia does not offer good food this place is by far the best place I've eaten in all of South Carolina customer service is great and the place is clean! it's rare to find all those things in one spot!????

Our recent visit to Golden Bay Seafood was a mixed experience. Upon arrival, we waited a few minutes before being greeted by a hostess. Considering the size of our party, the hostess worked to gather tables and prepare them, but rather than leading us to our seats, she simply pointed us in the direction of where to sit.

The food itself was nothing special. While it was cooked adequately, nothing about it wowed us. The preparation and taste were mediocre at best, lacking any standout flavors or unique touches. It felt like the food was simply prepared, with no notable seasoning or culinary flair. For a seafood restaurant, we expected something more memorable.

On the bright side, the rest of the staff was friendly and accommodating, and we received our food quickly. We ordered a variety of items, but unfortunately, none stood out. The restaurant's environment was pleasant, and the speed of service was impressive, but without exceptional food, it didn't elevate the overall experience.

While we appreciated the prompt service and friendly demeanor of the waitstaff, there wasn’t anything about this visit that would compel us to return soon. Golden Bay Seafood has potential, but this time around, it missed the mark for us.

I had an unknown substance in my food. I showed the waiter and he said sometimes it comes in the food, I don’t know what it is!!! Never again! Also, I have pictures and I will be contacting DHEC.

The service is great the people are nice and the food is good fried or broiled I don't think you have a problem I like eating in instead of taking out just me I give it a 4-star rating cuz it is a good place to eat and it's clean
