I want to like this place but I feel their head isn't in the game anymore. Amosphere is someones livingroom(1/2 dining area is closed off and a childs play area). They use to carry roasted duck but no longer (tried 5x over 6months) Last week I called 4x no answer so I made the trip only to find out their phone was off at 645 on a Friday! I normally dont give such low reviews especially a family run business but I truely think there is something else going on here. Is this a tax write off or something? Who opens a restaurant and doesn't serve food? I would take pictures of food but i have left there 5x frustrated empty handed. Photos are from almost 3yrs ago(last time i had duck)

My first time buying roast duck here, it was amazing, very delicious, better than what I had in Atlanta, and cheaper.😋😋

First time here, I’m originally from north where there’s good Chinese food and have yet to find it in this area, I was recommended this place from a nurse at an urgent care and since I’ve been unsuccessful so far, gave it a chance… love the rice, reminds me of home, hands down best I’ve had in the 2 years I’ve been here, egg rolls good, crab Rangoon yummy too, not a huge fan of the lo mein though and the order wasn’t 100% right as they were missing my white rice but overall would return again specifically for that pork fried rice

This place is a true hidden gem in Columbia. It’s a cozy, family-owned spot serving authentic Cantonese cuisine. It might look like a hole in the wall, but the flavors are outstanding, especially if you love Chinese BBQ. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for something genuine and delicious

Wow! STAY AWAY! Now only was everything we ordered COLD (duck, wonton soups) and seemed precooked, they had their kids running around and having like a play date. It was loud and felt like we were in a kindergarten cafeteria. Please take your money somewhere else. Horrible experience and $100 down the drain.

The food is AUTHENTIC as you could expect CANTONESE food to be. Delicious, savory, flavorful, succulent, downright finger-licking. That's a fair trade-off for the service and ambiance / atmosphere. 5 star prepared food, absolutely!

The food was terrible, tasted like sweet baby rays bbq with soy sauce added.
The food caused many bathroom trips and my stomach hurt all night.
Pretty pricy too.

So-so looking older family-run restaurant.
Good but small egg roll
Under seasoned egg fried rice
So-so tasting big portion of large chunked heavily battered sweet and sour chicken, not tossed in sauce.
Very good tasty big portion of crispy juicy roast pork, but kind of one note, just pork and white rice.
Some other very interesting looking menu items you don't see elsewhere, I'd like to try

Super casual chines take out but then have traditional chinese meals, like braised eggplant and hot pot. they also have the american chinese staples. try some stir fried vegetables, the roast pork is delicious, they only order by the pound, no half pounders, not the greatest place more worn down. dine in and take out. my only go to place in columbia/irmo

I love places like this. They have a good range of specialty items you can’t find at many other Chinese restaurants - especially the BBQ items, which is what I had.
