Hands down Thee best empanadas I have ever had. Visiting from Massachusetts for my son’s basic training graduation. I Highly recommend, good food and service. My son’s Drill Sargent recommended and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be grabbing me some empanadas for the drive home.

We’ve eaten here a few times over the years and the food isn’t bad. The owner when present is very nice and greets you when you enter. Food freshness varies and at times certain fried foods taste like ‘old grease’. I prefer when they are busy to ensure food is hot and fresh. We don’t eat in because it’s too small but the atmosphere seems friendly. They have added outdoor seating/dining to add to your experience and they are close to base. There aren’t many PR restaurants so we try to support when we can.

Listen! I have no idea what has taken me so long to eat at La Isla Bonita! I ordered through DoorDash. When my food showed up, it was still steaming. I have never had a restaurant where I ordered from DoorDash and the food showed up still hot and steaming like I'm dining in! I appreciated that so much. I still wasn't ready for what came next. I tried the steak first. Speechless. The pork is what I tasted next. Floored. Then the rice and empanada; both were really tasty as well. The portions are good and filling. I can't wait to go back. This place has been on my radar for years, and I'm mad it took me so long to get to this delicious food.

Best Puetro Rican restaurant I've ever been to. I moved to SC from NY, and my grandparents are from Puetro Rico. I've never purchased an empanada that tasted identical to my grandmother's recipe until I ate here. Definitely one of the best places to eat at in Columbia!

Small inside but food and service was amazing. Food came out hot and fresh and in a timely manner. Waitress was super friendly especially since it was my 1st time there she explained everything I asked. They also serve cold beer

Omg ,.. what a gem of a place! I was worried because it looked small.. the food was phenomenal, great service, I can’t wait to go back in town. Owner is a wonderful female veteran and the food was freshly made and serving size gives you plently of left overs!
