I have moved into the area and am glad this place isn't far, the lack of a drive through is made up by excellent customer service that makes the trip inside worthwhile. My food order was confirmed and completed exactly as ordered. I went with broiled flounder, green beans and mashed potatoes, no gravy. The presentation for take out was perfect, my green beans are never that good. My sweet dish was banana pudding. It wasn't eaten until the next day but stayed fresh in the fridge .
Great very friendly people

The pot roast used to be good, now it's like a piece of leather. I asked for the country fried steak to be placed over the rice, instead it was placed in a separate container. When I moved the container to put the steak on, I saw that I was given half a scoop of rice along with the teeny tiny portion of squash casserole on the other meal. I understand that things are going up, but to charge the same amount for this little portion of food is ridiculous. Nothing is seasoned. I don't expect it to be over seasoned, but the squash casserole is a tasteless mushroom. The lima beans are just there. This is a horrible mess. I tried calling to speak with a manger, but Noone is answering. Update: I spoke with the manager John who gave me an in store credit for my dinners. We went back tonight and got the flounder/mac n cheese/fried okra. My husband got the same country fried steak meal from last night. Everything was much better, but it still doesn't take away the horrible experience from last night. Treat every customer and every plate the same.

The food was old, the fish came out of a box into the grease and the portion was like a child's plate. I don't know who owned the place now but the food was much better. I would never go back and would not recommend this place.

Went to the White Knoll location. I ordered a chicken sandwich. Got home opened my sandwich and they pulled the meat off a already cooked bone in chicken breast and put it between a bun. Couldn't tell you how it taste. I threw it in the trash. It looked disgusting seriously. Never ever again.
This review is specifically for the newer Redbank location. We had a late night concert Monday night at the White Knoll High School PAC center and decided afterwards to go to this location. We weren't aware that they closed at 9pm until after we were leaving. Most of our party arrived at 8:15pm but we had some stragglers that arrived at 8:40pm. The entire staff was soooooooo incredible and accommodating, everyone helping each other get drinks, refills, bread and food out soooooooo quickly. Not one time did we ever feel "rushed" or "hovered" over to "hurry up." Instead they just let us enjoy our dining experience! The food was fantastic, even at the end of the shift, it was still all so fresh and delicious! I think we wrapped up our bills at 9:30pm. We all thanked the servers and all the management staff for allowing us to stay and enjoy our meal and we humbly apologized to them honestly not knowing the time they closed. The manager reassured us it was no problem at all and asked us if we enjoyed everything, food, service and all. We enthusiastically replied YES! I just wanted to specifically shout out to the store and staff how wonderful our dining experience was. I'm sorry for posting a few days afterwards, but please know your team was phenomenal and it didn't go unnoticed. Ty so very much again!

We went Thursday for dinner here visiting my brother from Ky had chicken livers they were the best and are waitress Tiffany was awesome took really good care of us
We ordered takeout tonight and it was top tier! Everything was cooked perfectly. We got flounder, collard greens, squash casserole, chicken tenders, Black Eyed Peas and lima beans. Who ever was cooking tonight was on their game! Thank you for a delicious “home cooked” meal.

Great service food pretty mediocre for my taste. A lot of nostalgia here if you’re from Columbia, SC your parents probably dragged you out of bed on a Saturday to eat here. Some breakfast 🍳 is better than others. Stick to the classics don’t go off script at a southern restaurant.

I really like Lizard’s Thicket and I like their food. Their atmosphere is fine if you’re just looking for a meat and three vegetable restaurant. The food taste good and the quality is fine.
