My first visit here. A bit hard to access. Staff was friendly upon entry. Women's restroom was clean, with stocked tissues. Soap was out in one station. Waste container in stalls were full. Food came out hot and ready to eat. Lemonade was more like yellow lemon water. Tea was ok. I had the small dinner plate with 2 tenders collards and black eyed peas. Not too salty, very flavorful. First time visiting while on a trip, this place was amazing! Fried chicken, collard greens, Mac & cheese, and squash casserole were all delicious. Great service. Small town atmosphere and affordable!
We have visited Columbia, SC twice in the past month. We had not eaten at Lizard's Thicket before. We want to stay close to the hotel we were staying in and this seemed like a good local place to dine at. We were right!
